Price Check on 2015 Coupe S

Looking at a 2015 Coupe S with 17k miles. Red body, black roof, offsetting sports stripe. Clean carfax. one owner, appears to have all major options except perhaps folding mirrors:

mini connected w/ nav
sport package
recaro seats (heated)
10 speaker audio
rear parking sensor

Asking price is $16,400 - is that a good deal for this car? thanks!

Forgot to mention this is MT

ok well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on it, seemed like a good deal and I've been looking for a fun weekend go-cart type car for a while. I would like to do some light modding to it, nothing major as the car is still under warranty for the next 20 months. Was thinking about a plug and play tuner to up the turbo boost a bit - does anyone here have experience with the JB+ tuner from BMS for the N18 engine? I have a BMS tuner for a BMW and while I didn't dyno it, it seemed to provide a noticeable improvement.

Also wondering if there are favored suppliers for exhaust systems, and exterior body mods.

thanks!

I installed a JB+.when my car was new and never removed it for service. I am still very happy. It provides the additional boost you are looking for without messing with the ECU and spending on an expensive tune.

Don't really have anything to add/suggest here -- just want to welcome you. I bought my first/only Mini back in April, a 2013 S, same color scheme as yours. Mine had low mileage, also like yours (7,000 on mine), and the only problem I've had so far is there isn't enough time to drive it. I'd test-driven a Coupe when they first came out but at the time, a two-seater wasn't right for me. However, it is now, of all the cars I've owned, by far my absolute favorite. (I don't find much new posting here specifically about the Coupe but NAM is a helpful, friendly site nevertheless.) Oh, not sure where you live but you might want to find yourself a good, independent Mini mechanic.

Motor on!

thanks for the replies all. Car was delivered yesterday - looks amazing and is a blast to drive. Found out it also has the folding mirror option which the dealer didn't even realize heh heh... so it appears to be a fully tricked-out S model.

That seems like a great deal! I bought my base model 2013 R58 with 17k miles on it for almost the same price in 2016. The only car I would sell it for would be a low mileage 2015 R58 with all the extras. Congrats!

Since you brought it up... I am constantly with my eye out for a low milage R58, silver on black (and red roof) with all the extras -- preferably a JCW model; however, I have found this a hard task to complete. You find the same?

And I agree: this is the only car for which I would sell my current, beloved 2013 R58 S.

Motor on, guys.

well I did look for quite a while and R58's in general were very rare, much less ones from the last model year, an S (or JCW), and a 6MT. So when this one popped up about 20 miles away, it seemed too good to pass up. Honestly, the color scheme wouldn't be my first choice, but if I don't turn this into my daughter's car when she is 16 in two years, I may just plop down the funds to get it wrapped in the color choice I want (and dark grey with a red roof would be a top contender)!

There were only a few JCW R58s in 2018 that I would have considered, IF they were in colors I liked and had the good seats. I would love the Mini HUD, but perhaps I could retrofit it with a donor vehicle, same with seats. I check the used inventory at several Mini dealerships occasionally, sometimes they have very low mileage vehicles so there is still hope!
