Waiting is the hardest part

Waiting for my new coupe. It's killing me. I'm nearing 8 weeks.

Ordered on Sept 21
Oct 7 Mini was in the body shop
Oct 10, released to carrier
Oct 11, returned to shipper
Oct 17, loaded back on a new ship
Nov 5, released to Baltimore Harbor

There are some accessories installed at the port, initially the dealer thought it was going to be released to the truck Nov 8. It's now Nov 12, 2014, and they still don't know when/if it is going to be released.
Spoke to Mini USA and they said it is waiting for EPA approval at Baltimore Harbor.

Not sure what I need except maybe some sympathy....

They shouldn't need any EPA approval. That hangup was for the 2015 F56 models not the R58. You should be in business pretty quick I think. That's one reason I got both my Minis straight off the dealer's lot. No wait.

Sigh, just got a message from my dealer. To be released from VDC Nov 22nd. Bummed... :(. Would have bought from dealer lot if they had what I wanted.

Keep up the wait! it will be worth it. Love my car!

Yeah, the worst part is my Mini Cooper 07 S Manual died which is why I bought a new coupe, the dealer who I work with who have been super awesome, gave me a loaner while I wait for my new car. The loaner they gave is a plain Countryman Automatic. It's a lumbering beast... :( I feel like a suburban mom...

I also drove one of those loaners for a day. It's a whole different car, much higher and more body lean. Accelerates pretty well. I didn't hate it, but it doesn't compare to my Coupe. My former car was also a 2007 MCS hatchback with manual tranny. I traded it in on my current Mini. Got about $7500 for it.
