My Dad borrowed Coupe... he won't bring it back
 

My Dad need to get his 84 Mercedes sl worked on. He and my Mom have had the sl since new. They love that little car. So My Dad asked me if he could borrow my coupe for a few hours to go to a golf tournament. He drove it to Chicago to go to this golf thing and was supposed to drop it off the same day. He called me this morning and said he would be over to drop it off in a little while. I think he wants to keep it! :lol:
He called me back and asked if he could drive it for a few more days. His words were, "What a great car, I love this little thing!" He's 6'5" and all legs and working my clutch and stick like a champ.

Guess it is payback for taking his sl when I was in high school in the late 80's! It's pretty cool that he likes it so much.:thumbsup:

Sounds like you might have to go buy another car. Great story.

There's a MINI specific rear window sticker out there somewhere that you really need. It says: "Yes It's Fast, No You Can't Drive It".

When I bought my first MINI, I also considered an SLK with an AMG package. It was my first choice. But a friend who works for Merc dissuaded me due to their endless issues so I went MINI instead. So glad I did. Sounds like your dad's becoming a convert, too. :-)

funny my dad loves my roadster he is 80yrs old he rode his bike 3 states to see one at the car show!

He did finally give it back! He had his fun for a few days. He was really impressed with the coupe.
I think he might be looking into a countryman in the future.
