3 coupes on the ground here at MINI Knoxville. Red/silver, blue/black, and the other, I believe, is black/black.

Zyamfier, my car also arrvied at port on 16th. My port is Baltimore. What other lines do they use to Baltimore then?

They use KLine to Baltimore I believe but those are harder to track.. Supposedly a KLine ship is coming in on the 24th.

I just want on this god damn Independence II ship lol..

It is at the port right now and my car has been there for a week :(

The KLine ship is called 'California Highway'



EDIT: Wait! I want on the California Highway...!! haha It gets in to Brunswick WAY earlier then the WWL ship.

Was looking at the spreadsheet and see that you updated the dealer city as Fife. Thought you went through Seattle MINI.

Nope, going through Fife. Just didn't think to be that detailed. Then saw your entry with Fife and just updated it to be more correct. We bought our other 2 cars from Fife as well. They only had 1 dealership when we bought ours the first time.

 

Awesome PatM, we have bought 2 of ours there too. Looks like you slide in front of me while we where trying to get more info on Laguana green and if it was possible to get it on the Coupe heh.

 

Officially waiting at the port for a boat. Since I am not sure which one it'll be on I could see it in approximately 3 weeks, or up 6 weeks. *shrug*

 

Don't ya hate it when that happens? The day will be here before you know it. I just hope it isn't raining when I take delivery. If it is I may hold it off for a sunny day! I want to get it home in a dry state, give it a good wash and then put some wax on it before I drive it any distance.

 

What is weird is the AIDA that left Southampton and is going to Brunswick as one of its stops isn't showing as arriving on Brunswick during a really large date range that I put in.. Not sure how totally accurate that is.


I have a strong feeling that MINIs sitting at Port and heading to East Coast ports will be heading out on Independence II (If you have New York or Baltimore) while the others will take a K-Line ship called 'California Highway' which is getting into Southampton tonight/tomorrow. Others being Brunswick, GA or Charleston, SC.

Confirmed though our salesman thats exactly what happened lol. Brad Davis (our salesman extraordinaire at NW MINI told me that they are likely getting 3 copies in next week for demo/sales purposes. Planning on heading up there next weekend to see a coupe in person.

That sounds good. Guess I will have to mosey on down there a take a look see. Hopefully they will have something in Chile Red with a black top and black racing strips.

That would be the cat's meow but I kind of doubt they will have one that color.

This is really a good thing. I figure hey if I don't like it in person I'll blow off the whole deal. No harm no foul.

 

Brad advised that from memory he thinks the three will be LB/BLK, CR/SLV, BLK/Wht. We are planning on being up there early on Saturday morning to take a look at the Coupe. While not your exact build think between the CR and LB coupes you should be able to piece together the total look.

@PezRadar so far get the feeling that the transport to the US has always been a bit odd on how shipping goes lol.

 

I wish you were all on my boat....I feel kinda bad that Herby74 and I are out in THIS general area. Not rubbing it in. I'm just say'n. Zoom out to get a better view of where we are.

 

I was told "On Order" too! It's sucks.

 

Still not booked for the Independence II which is a WWL ship and has been at port for over 12 hrs now.

I'm guessing I will be on that K-Line shipping coming in later this evening/tomorrow.

I hope I am.. I honestly don't mind since that ship will get to Georgia 1 week faster then the WWL ship.

 

Spoke to my MA this afternoon and they don't have any better info than I have. At port awaiting vessel. They seem to think MINI is focused on getting all the dealer demo cars delivered since they can't sell any cars until 10/1.
On the other hand my dealer did receive two demo coupes, a black coupe and a red S. I was going to be in the area so they let me take the S out for drive. It was right about the time they were to close so I was focused on that and forgot to take pics. Car felt tight, fun and fast. JCW is going to turn it up several notches! Seeing to rear wasn't so bad when driving, but then I went to back it into the space it had been parked and that was not quite so easy. Really strange coming from MINI hardtop and Clubman where you can see so easily. Definitely will have to get used to the limited sight lines when backing. As I was approaching the dealership to turn in a Lexus sedan came flying up from behind and alongside with four or five people inside checking out the coupe!

 

You may be on the K-Line ship that I mentioned as well. This is why it isn't appearing on the Tracking site for WWL.

California Highway arrives September 24th in Southampton.

It arrives in Baltimore on October 3rd and Brunswick on October 5th.

For the West coast Coupe owners a small step forward. The Asian King has left Bremerhaven port and on its way to Zeebrugge Belgium where its expexted to dock and later exit on the 26th. Shows it will be hitting Southhamton on the 28th and departing later that day.
