Parking Light failure!

Someone help! I have a 2010 Cooper Convertible and I keep getting an external light failure notice and figured out it is the passenger side top parking light. I replaced all the bulbs and it still didn’t work. So I tried the driver side carrier (the one that DOES WORK) in the passenger side and that didn’t work. So I assume it’s not the bulb carrier that’s in question. Could it be a fuse? I cannot find ANY information online!

are you sure you aren't meaning the upper brake light bulb?

There is a known issue with the tail light assembly where the upper light socket melts causing loss of electrical connection between the back plate and the bulb holder.

I just had a complete tail light assembly replaced under warranty for this issue.

not sure what you mean by the carrier .... I tried swapping the plug the bulb fits into side to side and top to bottom and problem always stayed in the driver side upper

the light consists of the complete light assembly, A backplane that the bulbs plug into, each with its own holder and the wiring harness plugs into this. You might get away replacing this backplane
aka the tail light bulb socket
