rear headrests... maybe i'm just dumb

I see that they go all the way down in some photos on the forums. Mine have a collar on one of the posts that seem to prevent them from going down all the way. Do I just take the headrest out and pull the collar off or is there a trick to getting them to go down all the way with the collar on?

Remove the pin and hey presto, headrest all the way down. It was put there as a minimum recommended height for headrests. Forget the fact someone would have to be 4 foot tall max to fit in the rear seats anyway and could not reach a headrest, that or an amputee.

one of the first things i did to mine (2 months ago) was take the rear headrests out, there is a black donut with a metal pin in it. push the pin out or twist the black ring hard and then slide off. Put head rest back in all the way down.
