2009 Mini Cooper Convertible
My wife's 2009 Mini Cooper Convertible is having trouble fully opening. I gets past the opening sunroof process, and begins to open fully, once the roof gets about 1-2 inches from resting down it stops and you hear the chime inside the car.
I appears that the rear window is folding down correctly and there is no grinding noises that I can hear.
You can close the top back up with no issues.
It started to happen randomly and only full opening once out of every 10 tries then it stopped. We needed to replace the battery which was done and the first time we tried the top after it opened but only that one time.
From what I can gather all of the fuses are okay that are labeled for the roof (only saw one 30A for the roof, checked by passenger seat and under hood)
Has anyone experience this / resolved this issue?

He spent a lot of time on the cargo shelf switch but never mentioned the boot door switch on the upper left corner of the door frame. It is notorious for causing problems as it is a very short throw switch. I solved the problem with a small adhesive chair leg glider pad. Make sure it is getting completely depressed.
