Back in the Saddle Again - And a few Q's!

Looks like we are back in the saddle again. Wife just picked up a 2010 Cooper S drop-top.

Some of you old-timers might remember me from way back. I've been a member of this website for a very long time, from back when i had my 2005 S. I might have even met a few of you down at MTTS or MOTD.

A lot has changed since the old models, so maybe you guys can help me hammer out these initial questions about the car (i know there is a search button but these are very specific, and you can forgive a long time member right...):

CABRIO Specific Q's...

1. Satellite radio - what are my options for a non-factory unit? Looking for no additional displays/boxes/etc. Just want a cheaper factory integrated option. Is the factory antenna also a direct connect for a satellite receiver? Pink connector under the seat?

2. Intakes - require a re-tune/software?

3. Wind-blocker - any alternative to the $500 factory option? $500 is just a bit too much for something so simple.

4. Do the old auto-up/down window circuits used on the old body style still work?

Thats probably all for now.

The wife's newest addition to our growing stable of impractical cars:

First modification. It has started already.

Cut these out tonight and installed them in about an hour. I love cutting vinyl :)

Looks good. Your windows should already be auto-up/ auto-down. No need for new circuits....

No auto up for the convertibles, as we don't have pinch sensors.

Intakes do not require a retune (I asked my MA when I ordered my M7 AGS-R through the dealership).

You will want an aftermarket hood scoop if you are interested in a good CAI. The factory one is.... not good. (M7 has two very nice models the Ram2 scoop, and the Vortex scoop)

Happy motoring! Love your colour choice!

Looks great. Love the Subaru as well.

Btw, can you tell me where you got the stripes from. I have been thinking of installing them for my Roxanne.

Thanks for the replies! Good info. The auto-up would be good to have. I'll have to see what i can do with that :) After driving the mini for a week, the STi is definitely the most practical 350hp car we own haha.

Stripes - Made them myself. :) I won't post my company here as i am not a board sponsor, but it is on my race-car in the first post :)
