R56 Did your dealership put an advertisement on the back of your new car?
Front plate is not used to get bad guys. It's used to facilitate red light and speed enforcement cameras. They photograph from the front.
Some states have been known to shorten yellow lights such that reaction times dictate that "someone" runs the light at each cycle. Interesting way to increase revenue . . . Insurance companies love it too, as they can raise rates. Watch for the cameras right after the front plates are mandated.

Braman WPB provides a frame for the rear and puts a whole plate on the front---after 3-4 talks with the MA prior to arrival at the dealership about NOT installing the plate on front--there is no plate on front. (Florida does not have front plates.) No decal. "Let's Motor" will replace dealer frame on boot.
Virginia law is the same though my MA did offer to not install it so I could get one of the tow hook kits. I told him to just go ahead and put it on where it's supposed to be. I don't think it looks bad there myself. To each his/her own I guess.
Yeah, Hassel gave me the plate frame, but I made sure to tell my MA that the lil sticker would not be tolerated.
I guess it wasn't necessary.
Zip
No they did not add a decal sticker on the back, but they drilled the front bumper for the front plate to put their dealer advertisement plate on
I'm tempted to have them replace the front bumper or swap with another car the same color! Really makes me MAD!

Hey UJ

I actually talked to Moritz (Neil) before delivery and they never had mine installed.. I think you got yours right off the lot right? I bet if you asked they woulda pulled it off..
I'm still sportin my Mortiz License Plate holder though.. Doesnt bother me :P
Whether they drilled the holes or not, there are still two indentations where the holes would go. It is not a smooth, one piece bumper like the R50/R53. After all my moaning, I'm not so sure a front plate wouldn't look better on it. YIKES!

I've got it safe in a hermetically sealed container in my safe deposit box!
If I remember correctly, South Motors MINI in Miami brands the boots of theirs. Then again, South Motors seems to brand the back-end of all their cars, from VW's to Honda's to BMW's.
On at least three separate occasions, my wife and I reminded our MA at Moritz (Chris) that we didn't want the chrome emblem installed. I happened to swing through the dealership after my car had arrived (but before it was ready for pickup) and sure enough...they had slapped their emblem on the car.
It must be standard practice. Needless to say, when my wife and I went back to pick up Speedy, the emblem was gone...replaced with a license plate frame
On a positive note...they don't drill the front bumper holes unless a customer requests it

Couldn't get them to not put a front plate holder on my MC (bought in
MD where front plates required, although I live in PA where they're not).
Had a MINI of Towson front plate and a MINI of Towson rear plate bracket,
until recently when I changed the front to a custom skeleton pirate fish plate
and the back to a Let's Motor bracket.
Pics of the plate on the car are here:https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=89383
