As I saw mentioned in another thread awhile back:

The MINI is cheap to insure but YOU may not be.

I am still amazed at how low the insurance rates are on a Mini since we all know how ridiculously high parts & labor would be to repair one

shhhhh I hope the insurance companies don't catch on
