Ever had a mad-sugar-loaded-adrenalin-pounding-alcohol-induced stupor?
Yeah, well, if there was ever one to be had, I think I had one. Woah!
It's better looking than I had imagined. Oh yeah, Romi is going to be teh seckseee!

Welp, I have a small animation roughie ready to post. It is rough. Basic color information and crude lighting is there, but no textures and only a handful of models. It is primarily for the camera motion testing. Basic background muzak, no other audio at this time. The script is ready, but I need to do some camera time syncs and angle clips to cut in with the audio track.
And I squeezed the 17 seconds clip into a WMV (617KB), but have no way of posting it. I guess I can email it to those who want to see it. Just PM me with an email addy.

Has anybody received their Nightfire Red with a Black Roof yet? Mine will be here in 3 weeks and I'm dying to see one. Apparently, I'll have the first NFR sold in Canada...one of seven in the country. Unfortunately, that means that you don't get to see any until you get it!
I think I'm giving birth, to a spanking new baby ulcer!

Dennis, welcome to NAM and I wish you a healthy gestation period! The wait is hard, but the little bundle of joy will be here soon!
How can I describe my status without jinxing anything? We're still waiting for FedEx with the Certificate of Origin so that the car can be registered. My MA never told me a delivery date, I know this from pestering him, so it's not technically late yet. But I should be posting pics of a black roof NFR tomorrow!

Hilarious....I'm calling my Mini...Winnie!
Firstly, I live in Winnipeg...that's the city that Winnie the Pooh was named after.
Secondly, from the TV show, Wonder Years...Kevin's Girlfriend was Winnie Cooper...so it must be destiny that will be her name?
I want to thank the three of you who opted in to review the little animation thingy. I kind of hope for some feedback as I move along with it. Some things I want to surprise you with, some I need feed back on.
Next pass will have the full camera path along with more models and details added. Lighting will stay pretty basic during development as that is what takes the most time to render. The 17 seconds in this first pass took an hour and 22 minutes to render. My goal is for it to be 90 seconds long.
In final form it will probably take 3 computers about 3 weeks to render. I am having fun with it. Hope you enjoy it as well. And hope you like seeing what it takes to get an animation clip done.

Not for a living. As a matter of fact, this is the first 3D animation I have ever done. I was inspired by my whining and the Mini.
I needed something to keep my mind busy while waiting for the car.
But now it is turning into something more. I just wish I had more time than in the mornings and weekends to work on it. I will be adding the voice overs in the next few weeks. The art work will be coming along rather quickly once I have the camera path established.
That is some nice photos in your gallery.
