R56 Purchase off the lot ?

I am planning on purchasing a new mini probably sometime in the middle of March is I can make a couple of things happen.
What is the likelyhood of being able to buy a R56 off the lot in the middle of March or are all the early production slots allocated to custom build cars.
What kind of inventory do you think the dealers will have ?
I am looking at a manual MCS.

I'll just throw out a guess, no stock cars. Let us know what you find.

Yeah, I doubt dealers will have any inventory 'till late spring.

Why not put in an order now?

I would guess that given the MFSW snafu and all of the reorders that there would be some cars on the lots.

Probably can find some stock cars on the lot. My dealer says his first allotment has about 4-6 MCS that are stock. Every dealer allotment has some cars that are stock for dealer sale and some that are custom ordered. You may also be able to pick up a car that someone didn't accept because it was built without the multifunction steering wheel. I didn't accept mine because of that and reordered.

I think a lot will have to do with where you are, My dealer has stock MINIs coming in but some customers are reviewing those and reserving them now, you could always reserve with a deposit, as long as it's a refundable deposit.

Probably depends on the dealer. I would think larger dealers (higher sales numbers) would have gotten more slots to start with and would have a better chance of not using them up on preorders. Call your dealers in the area.

You may or may not locally, but you should not have a problem getting one from classic or MOTH......Both have huge alotments due to the number of internet sales they do and stellar reputations here because so many of us got our cars from them when there were 3+ month waits at other dealers

I can assure you that eastbaymini.com in Pleasanton will have several available very soon...I'd bet three weeks tops...one being my PW MCS set up as a performance driver. It will be just under $25k before tax/license. Run my identifier SURFBLUE on the advanced search, looking for my POSTS and you'll see the car spec...know that I added DSC. And it WON'T have cruise control (that's why I reordered...the steering wheel fiasco)...but somebody is going to get a nice performance driver... the cars are all the ones that came without cruise control. Ask for Robert Mathews at 925 251-7070. I'd imagine that car and the others will be spoken for quickly.
