Quite a wide range of vehicles, in terms of cost, function and purpose. Well, I know which one I prefer

Here is the link to coty website for any questions that may arise. Interesting lineup of voting journalists. Also, there will be awards given for the categories World Design of the Year, World Performance Car of the Year, and World Green Car. Wow that's great! Way to go MINI!
I know that the choosen models might be specific for the latest production year but, it is nice to know that WCOTY choose both cars I own
kewl. World Car AND World Performance Car of the year!
My stable
2006 MINI Cooper S
1995 Audi //S6
ps the Audi //S6 has only been produced in 1995 (5cyl 20v turbo), 2002 (only as an Avant with 4.2 litre V8) and now recently with the V10 lurking under the hood.

I was just listing the car manufacturers with a large international presence that didn't make the list.
I wouldn't expect any car made explicitly for the american market to make the list, but Ford makes a lot of cars for the rest of the world that we don't see here.
And it's great to see the MINI up on the podium, but I wish they had picked a color that was brighter. With two silver cars and a red car up there, my bet would be on the red one

Out of that list, only 4 of them are sold worldwide. The Audi TT, Jaguar XK, Lexus, and Mini. I am not sure, but I do not believe the Mercedes CL is available worldwide.
And none of these are their own parent company (the Mercedes is, if it is actually sold worlwide). Audi is owned by Volkswagon, Jaguar is owned by Ford, Lexus is owned by Toyota, and Mini is owned by BMW.
Yes, I can be **** too!

They didn't list the order.

From the WCOTY site, it appears MINI was #2

Based on the rankings, it appears that they had a strong weighting on safety, which would explain why a 4-door familymobile would beat out the two zippy cars
And whatta know, it was the red car that won
