When I ordered my MINI the invoice and configurator stated Cold Weather package: Heated seats, heated mirrors, and washer jets ( ordered 11/29/07)

Now the configurator lists cold weather as heated seats and washer jets but no mention of heated mirrors so which is it? I beleive I am paying for all 3 items will only 2 be delivered?

 

Checked the full equipment list, and it lists the cold weather package to be heated seats and heated washer jets only.

I didn't order the cold weather package, but got the powerfold heated mirrors and the heated seats, and my order says I'm getting heated washer jets without asking for them. Which is weird, because the powerfold heated mirrors supposedly aren't compatible with the cold weather package, and I figured that was because of the heated mirrors...

 

If you order powerfold mirrors, they come heated along with heated washers. No sense to order the cold weather package (actually if you do, you can't order the powerfold mirrors), but you can just add the heated seats. You save $30, but spend $300 more for the powerfold mirrors.

I spent a good deal of time on the configurator to find this out and even the dealer didn't know this but confirmed it.

I should mention that this is all based on the MCSC which i just ordered.

 

What's wierder still is the Cold Package in the description lists the Heated Front Seats and heated jets, but in the build with the cost on the right hand side under Packages mine shows Cold, Premium and then it lists " Heated Mirror/Washer Jets - PKG"

I will be checking with my MA on this....

 

if when you ordred the car it was in the spec then you should get them if not complain like hell remeber the customer is king

 

I printed my spec off the Configurator and it clearly lists:

It's probably just a typo in the description because it does add it all to the build.

It most likely a typo on the configurator. On the brochure, cold weather package includes heated seats, heated side mirrors, and heated washer jets.

 

I scanned this from the 07 brochure. It indeed shows that you are getting heated front seats, mirrors, and washer jets in the Cold Weather Package. Hope this helps.

So it appears that power folding mirrors, heated mirrors, heated washer jets, and heated seats is a legal combination.

You just can't do it with the CWP. You have to do PFM (which is heated and includes the heated washer jets according to my order) and heated seats separately. Unless the order is wrong -- but it includes 313, 314, and 494.

Who knows -- at the rate we're going that will end up losing me the MFSW.

Why I ordered heated seats in Central Texas will baffle some, but for those 10 minutes you need it on those 10 days a year with leather seats -- they're wonderful.

 

especially this winter (almost past) ... its been so cold.. Been loving my friends 06 WRX Limited heated seats

 

The only luxury approaching heated car seats is heated towels. Let's keep it basic. Of course, I've never experienced air conditioned car seats*, but judging by my butt freezing towels, it wouldn't have much going for it.

*not available with the cold weather package

 

I added the cold weather package, and I live in Florida. I figure you never know when/where a road trip might take you, and it does certainly get cool enough in the mornings to make it nice to have those heated seats. One of my co-workers LOVES driving her convertible with the top down but the heated seats on on a cold day... Different strokes I guess.

 

I absolutely love the heated seats, I just wish they wouldn't get so hot. THey would be perfect if they had one more setting just a little lower. BMW seats have 3 levels of heating.

 

You can't get the folding mirrors, though, with the package.

 

Correct you must spend the additional $300 for PFMs and separately order the heated seats.

 

just curious, if you dont get the power folding mirrors, can you manually fold the mirrors? I sometime park my car on the street and don't want anybody knocking it off.

 

Ok, this is very frustrating. My MA and the person I spoke to at AskMINI (the toll-free number on their site) is saying that the Cold Weather Package contains only 2 things: heated seats and heated washer jets. The 2 places that list the Cold Weather Package as including heated seats, heated washer jets AND heated side mirrors are the printout/summary from the MINI configurator and the 2007 brochure (scanned - see previous entry). Now my MA is saying that all prior literature from MINI has listed only 2 things, so I am still trying to get a definite answer. What's with all the inconsistencies from different sources? For people who have already ordered the Cold Weather Package, what is listed in your order details in the Owner's Lounge?
