I'm almost pregnant

Almost with child. A Mini child that is.
Just went do the local dealer and got my name on the list. I am number 17 at Sterling for an 07 Mini.
He said he should get his allocation and such in December sometime, and that's when I can actually order the car, then I should get it in February.

Long gestation period for a Mini baby.

But oh the joy when the little one is born :lol::lol:. Congrats and happy gestating!

You had me very curious there for awhile.... congratulations....what are your planned specks???

DrDiff Sep 23, 2006 02:14 PM

paynemdMINI: Remember that for the first few months of production on the '07 MINIS will be factory speced not custom ordered.

1wander will have to take what ever car the dealer gives them. About the only choice the early '07 model customers will have is color and model (MC vs MCS)

That would stink.... but I guess it's just the price of being one of the first....

1wander,

I am also on the list #5 at sterling. :) I think the other 4 in front of me are demos.

The issue of pre-spec'd cars is being discussed in another thread and one opinion is that the dealers are getting the pre-specs for test drives and such, and by the time we can order them (December?) we'll be able to spec 'em ourselves. I certainly hope so, I'm #14 or 15 on a list and would hate to delay to get the options I want.

Exactly. Based on what I've read (and seen in pictures) on two other sites... I beilieve this to be true as well.

The first production cars ARE going to be pre-spec'd. But those are being built RIGHT NOW. This has pretty much been confirmed with pictures showing the R56 cars rolling off the assembaly line and being shipped via train.

When the time comes and the general public can order, you WILL be able to spec the car to your... well... specs.

Thanks for the congrats o4amini.
Payen, I still have time to finalize my desires ( until late december I think ), but I think it's gonna be either a PW on PW or a PS color, base, with premium, cold weather, convenience packages and bluetooth. Also will get the sunroof tinted in a dark limo tint. Our dealer said they sent the car for a couple of days to a local place that charges $995 for the whole protection thing. Lights, mirrors, hood, bumber, all of it. It comes with an 8 year guarantee against rock dings and such. They will repaint your hood or whatever.

Tri3, that's cool. We're like brothers now. Both in the same waiting room waiting for our baby to be born. hahahaah. I live in Cascades, how about you ? I wonder how many weeks difference there is between #5 and #17. Think they'll be in the same batch or a couple of batches apart ??

Others: I agree with the majority here, I talked to the Manager at Sterling Mini, and my understanding is that come late December, or thereabouts, we'll be able to order exactly what we want from what's available ( probably can't order automatic S yet ), for a February Delivey.
