Low Pressure Fuel Line Stuck - I've buggered it - what to do?
Hoping for some advice here - I was doing some work on my kids car and tried to remove the low pressure fuel line. I have the "special tool" but it didn't work and poking the tabs with two small screwdrivers seems to have just destroyed them. Won't come off. I've already given up on reusing it and have a new one, so the question is how to get it off without damaging the pricey high pressure fuel pump? It spins freely so I could cut it all the way around. A little queasy about running a cutting tool near the gasoline supply... (I have removed the far end)
Any tricks? https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...926961eaab.jpg Low Pressure Fuel line connection R56/R55 https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.nor...a3c017b552.jpg The little tabs are buggered... |
From your picture, the quick disconnect fitting is screwed into the HPFP. I wonder if you would be able to unscrew the QD fitting from the HPFP.
