08 mini cranks but no start

Hello I am new here I have a 2008 mini cooper I acquired in a trade
I am having problems trying to figure it out she cranks but wont start. I ran codes their were two for camshaft sensors so I replaced and deleted the pending code still nothing. I replaced plugs because they were drenched in oil from valve cover gasket leak and plugs were only finger tight installed new gasket cleaned everything still nothing got fuel at the rail pump comes on tank is full and have power to coil but i get no spark no codes just cranks and cranks checked relay to coils its good checked junction box no corrosion no water infiltration put back together checked all fuses nothing cranks no fire.
wondering if ews or dme or all for coils are bad any help would be appreciated check engine light is on because of no start
which tells me its communicating and the rpm gauge moves when cranking so i think the crank sensor is good I am all ears..

We just went through the same problem with my partners 2009 R56S. After all the checking and probing around it turned out to be the junction
box went south. After swapping this out the car fired right up.

To add more information,

The crank no start issue for me was resolved with a new ECU - cloned. All works now.

Had the same issue. Found the DME (ECU) relay located in the engine bay failed. Replaced the relay, rematch the ECU to the immobilizer, fired right up.

having a similar issue, i swapped the dme relay with the one above it no luck for me ( the dme relay is the bottom relay aka closest to the head lights in the under the hood fuse box correct ) had the fuel pump working tuesday morning went to check for psi today and no power
