detroit tuned vs out motoring oil line kits

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has experience with both of the oil line kits that come from Detroit tuned and out motoring. The only difference I notice is that the out motoring kit has a black rubber looking line vs detroit tuned steel braided line. Links below.

Thanks.

I suspect both are OK, however there are a lot threads here recommending the Detroit Tune kit..

I have only seen Detroit tune used on this forum and that is why I asked the question. There is also the $55 difference between the two kits which is quite a savings since I will be using Canadian pesos to make the purchase.

It might be hard to find someone who has tried both. Detroit Tuned is pretty active on the forum and people gravitate to the tried and true fixes. If you're feeling adventurous, you could look at putting together your own oil line. www.jrponline.com in Mississauga carries Vibrant lines and fittings. I haven't put one together yet, but when my turbo line becomes an issue, I probably will. Shipping from Detroit Tuned plus the fact that they only accept PayPal (who charges a fee for dollar conversions) really affects the affordability of their kit.

We have seen and tested all the kits out there. We still feel ours is the best. On some of the cheaper lines, the heat shrink finish to the ends melt off and donot look the best. I know our line has the best wear/rub protection out there and as it bends and feeds to the block that is important. Also, we use a 30 deg and 90 deg ends for best clearances, not a straight and a 90. All the best options for a line being pressurized with hot oil. We also have a Canadian friend that we see a few times a year that can bring parts north. We always stay on top of all of our products to refine as needed and upgrade things. Check our FB or IG page for some of the failures. The best kit out there: https://www.detroittuned.com/detroit...ine-super-kit/

Can't go wrong with the detroit tuned kit, I installed it on my old mini and was very happy I chose it. I sold the car a couple months after so I don't know how it's holding up but based on the build quality I would expect it to last

Great thanks, I appreciate all the input guys.

I've used detroit tuned turbo oil line many years without any problems.

My problem is I’m in the uk and it just seems too difficult to order from detroit tuning. No shipping is shown and you have to email them etc + pay additional 4.5% to use paypal?

Those are some good looking lines

I just got the kit yesterday and I am going to install today. The only thing that is different from the Detroit kit is the regular oil line instead of the oil braided line. Lets see how it holds up.

To avoid any catastrophic failures if your going to track your car I would reroute/modify the line as outlined in this post (mine)

Well that is very scary, but I don't think I will be tracking the car other than some spirited driving. Did you have a turbo blanket by any chance? I am going to get one and also I am going to wrap my new downpipe to keep all the heat in. Also does your new oil line have some sort of sleeve on it?

Thanks
