So you had the grey radio with volume **** hole and switched to the LCI? I have an 09 R55 and want to do the same thing in order to upgrade to touch screen where the spedo is.

My question is, are the black A/C controls and bottom window switches plug and play or did you have to match anything specific?

My mike is on the steering column housing and it pries off with a plastic lever. Check the connections in there.

Plug and play everything. I switched radio, CD player, ac and windows controls. Now. The face is not the same since lci has volume **** in the radio unlike none lci that has it in the middle of it.

Oh I know the face is different. Just about every aftermarket radio is made for the LCI face-plate and doesn't accommodate the standalone volume ****. Instead of cutting into the current face-plate, I'd rather find an LCI to fit my 09 R55 and make it look more seamless. Thanks for the info on the A/C controls and window switches. When I get some extra funds, I'll start piecing together the swap.

Wow! Other than the useless kmph dial around it, this would make the LCI upgrade unnecessary and save me some time/money.

Do you have any issues with it? Do the safety/entry chimes play (door open, no seatbelt, key left in ingnition, etc)?

Sorry I can't really help, but where did you find the unit, and how did you pop it off?

Plenty of options finding a unit. eBay, salvage yards(cheapest option) Facebook part outs. Important that you know it’s a Bluetooth unit. Must have Bluetooth logo on top of the unit. If it does not say, it’s just a black unit. Popping it off is not hard, just a lot of crews to get to it. YouTube has few guides but to give heads up: takes a little time and patience if you are doing it first time.
