R56 low fuel pressure and cylinder 1,4 misfire

I'm looking to see if I need the adapter for the revised 2012 hpfp so I checked my production date on https://www.mdecoder.com/. However I dont know if it goes year/month/day or year/day/month. I'm assuming it's the first one but I just want to make sure. Here's a picture so u can see what I'm talking about:

N18s have two types, the Continental https://new.minimania.com/images_tem...1g2nme6100.jpg

and Bosch https://c1552172.ssl.cf0.rackcdn.com/553172_x800.jpg

the Continental one is the one prone to failure.

I know for a fact its looks like the Bosch one, i haven't checked to make sure it is actually Bosch. But either way it needs to be replaced, and I need to know if my car was made after 3/2012

If it looks like the Bosch hpfp then it is after 3/12. My '12 CMS has a Bosch hpfp and it was built after 3/12.

Maybe you can try looking up other VIN#'s to determine if the date format. As soon as one of the digits show up higher than a 12 you will know if it is YYYY:DD:MM or YYYY:MM:DD. You can probably use autotrader or cargurus, etc. for VIN's.

Good luck.

Now I took a picture of my hpfp to show you guys just to make sure that it matches the one on the BMW website:

to answer your original question, the production date goes by YYYY:MM:DD

At least it does for my '04 R53 and '06 R52

heres a picture of one of the 3 diags I had done on my car. I know that this is kinda changing the topic, but I dont feel I can trust these shops because this one was the only one that gave me an answer, I have determined that my pump is a Bosch pump and I just wanted to know if anyone else with the same pump had to get it changed or if the low pressure could be a result of something else.

I figured as much lol, I just get a bit paranoid when it comes to buying parts since sometimes they look the same with slight differences.
