Two wiring issues

I followed a thread with some guidance installing a CravenSpeed kit that includes oil pressure and water temp for my R56. Now the person who published the doc on his version of the installation was for the later version of the R56 (not shure what the R56N is). The question is clarity on the wiring of the gauges with the electronic piece from custom mini that is an inline dimmer. Honestly I can wire a wall plug. This is a few steps beyond that. So if there is any way somone can explain in simplicity how to wire up these gauges that clarifies better what I've already read that would be appreciated.
Issue #2- this is more complex. Arric at JM Turbocoopers machined my block so I am able to install the N18 oil pump. I purchased the only solution available to control the pump - an MSD tach driver and a Window RPM switch. Has anyone gone down this path and did you figure out where to draw the spark signal for the tach driver? I think the switch needs to turn on a around 3000 RPM hence the RPM switch. MSD says I can put these items in the engine compartment but I'm thinking to devote space in the glove box to keep the electronics clean and dry.
I'm in Denver and would love some assistance.
My build started with worn valve guides, a broken water pump and a dead turbo. I've since rebuilt the turbo, installed CP pistons and rods, all new bearings, seals, ARP bolts, rebuilt the clutch with a kevlar friction disc and increased clamping on the pressure plate (stock clutch), Wavetrac differential, all new seals end to end, rebuilt axles, new bushings in the front suspension, 1mm over valves, ported, new cams, and a raft of other BS that is timely to replace -vacuum system, all new pumps, new SS exhaust... I'm out of breath. Help. If you are in Denver and have a knack for wiring I'll buy lunch and beer.
Thanks all and I love the build threads.

LMK what questions you have regarding the gauges, I may be able to help.

The most complicated question is how to identify the one wire needed to tap into the spark plug circuit (positive) to capture the firing signal for the tach driver. Then what equipment I need to make sure I don't have too much amperage going to the oil pump solenoid (including discovering how much amperage it needs.)
The last thing is to understand how to wire the gauges including the inline dimmer.
I think this is a bit more "professional" than I imagined it would be.
Thanks for the response, DR

Thanks. Msd and craven are a bit helpful, but there are still a few issues to solve. Besides routing wires and finding some logical locations for fuses (more wiring) I have to determine a constant on source for the gauges, I know it’s not much current draw. Where do I look? Thanks.

MSD offered me a simpler solution to pick up the spark signal. It’s a tiny pickup that fits on one spark plug power wire.

sorry to have been MIA with this thread, travel, work, trade shows, etc. will do that.

Here's a link to a post with a doc that describes how I installed the dimmer circuit. Figure out what fuse in the passenger side footwell fuse panel is the OBD2 circuit and use an add-a-fuse to connect the always on power.
