Amber Tails for White, doesn't work right?
Hit the local pick and pull today and one of the things I was looking for was a new passenger tail light for my '12 S.
Found an earlier 2nd gen with Amber turn signals instead of the clear ones mine had, so I snagged both of them because I liked the look better. Plugged in the first one, but the amber turn signal is on when the lights are on. Was there a wiring difference between the model years and/or between the clear turn signals vs. the amber ones? I, mistakenly, assumed the wiring was the same. -Rob |
The bulb mounting board should be the same just swap them and should work

did you ever figure this out? i just bought a pre-facelift pair of tail lights and i’m having the same problem. it’s like everything’s wired differently

The pre-LCI tail lights are wired differently from the LCI tail lights. They are not directly interchangeable.
