Trying to replace backup lights for 2012 R56 JCW hatch with '09 R56 JCW hatch bumper

Hi,
My husband is having a huge problem finding backup lamps for his R56. He had a fender bender and replaced the rear bumper with one from an '09 which had different light cutouts so he ordered these backup lamps:

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/63247241801/

They fit the hole, but the plugs are different (i.e the plug coming from the car doesn't match the plug on these lights). Does anyone know where to get the correct plug coming from the car so he could replace it and get these lights to work? Or does anyone have any better ideas?

Thanks!! I read through that thread and the problem we're having is that we need a different plug that's coming from the car wiring. Our R56 originally had a bumper with these lights (I believe - working from memory here)

https://new.minimania.com/part/G2NMX...7-R58-R59-2011

And they had different plugs. Does ECS Tuning carry just the plug part coming from the car which would match up to the new lights we got which fit in the '09 bumper cutouts?

Hello. Husband here. I think the nomenclature of parts is aiding in a sea of confusion that I'm in.

I had this style bumper:

...as previously mentioned, it is no longer with us.

I got this style bumper off Ebay not knowing that it was a tad different (my fault)

so the problem is upon having made the switch I found myself without "reverse" lights

The leads coming from the car to the new lights to fit the new bumper don't mate. Although the connector suggested will mate with the new lights - the mini has 3 wires coming from it & this suggested connector (which I went ahead and got) only accommodates 2 wires and there is no metal in them. ? I think I'm screwed as there is no way to even wire these new connectors up.
