Fixed - Airbag and Seatbelt light on '13 MCS

Had the airbag warning light and seatbelt warning light come on out of the blue one morning.

Obtained a C110 code reader off of eBay.

Code came back as 93C9, Airbag sensor front, right passenger's side.

Jacked car up and peeled back the passenger side wheel well cover to find this.

Cut off the remaining wire, spliced in some extra wire, heatshrink and cold shrink wrapped it all up and good as new.

Cleared the airbag fault with the C110 and all is back to normal!

Not sure if a mouse chewed through that or if it was just rubbing on something. I'm leaning toward a mouse since there isn't much that is jagged and sharp enough to have worn through the wire.

I've lately have seen many or heard of mice chewing up wires. Good find.
I had just replaced my fuel filter in tank and found the connector on top the fuel pump looked like that. But I hadn't and codes yet.
