2008 R56S Passenger Headlight won't turn off

Afternoon All

Seeking help with this grimlin that just popped up. Backstory, ordered a DDM Tuning HID kit (w/ resistors & H/L wire harness) the lights stayed on for 5mins then the passenger side wouldn't turn off.

I removed the kit & put the stock bulbs back in. I have also disconnected the battery over night & the issue still remains.

Has anyone else run into an issue with a headlight staying on whe the car is off?

Auto Headlight is OFF & Follow me home is not being used.

Thanks in advance!

Hopefully the DDM kits did not damage the LQM , Light control module ( footwell module ). Did you check the plug and the harness.

Only with a test light. The wire is hot with the IGN off.

Dont know where to footwell module is or how to test that. I did book a appointment with the stealership; but I will keep everyone posted on the findings.

Thanks for the reply.

Those foot-well modules are sensitive and I had one fail on me shortly after having an aftermarket alarm installed, one of my turn signals stayed lit even with the car off and locked. A thousand dollars later with a new foot-well module and alarm uninstalled problem solved. Expect a wait of several hours to have the dealer program the foot-well module.

Tough question, but do you think it's a simple reprogram or they are gonna stick me with replacing the module?

Nope, foot-well is shorted out which is why your headlight isn't turning off.

Yea the more i think about it , it sounds like the footwell module did not like that kit.

Systemlord was correct. I need a new FMR (Footwell Module)

I was quoted $820 for part+labor+reprogramming!

What's even worst is I had the car for only 31 days!
