R56 Engine Light--- HELP!!
I just picked it up from the shop. They showed me everything that was fixed and replaced.
The noises are gone, the vibrations are minimal and there are is no more shaking.
I'm going to try and get the walnut blast next month if possible.
First of all...enjoy your car over the weekend! Ur back on the road!
Because you have no history as to when the last walnut blast was done and it sounds like you're going to keep the car. I'd put it on the "to-do" list...it's not an emergency.
Only other advice is to keep an eye on the oil level.
And lastly...Happy Motoring!

You should know that these MCS burn through a lot of oil and typically burn through 1-2 quarts of oil every 1000-2000 miles so check your oil every time you gas-up to get an idea how much your engine consumes. I lot of members have had great success using Mobil1 0W-40, I been using it for the last four oil changes living in a warm climate.

Although I don't drive that many miles in a short period, I will try and make it happen at least every 3 months.
I have a cleanable filter and clean mine about every time I do an oil change, but if you just have a paper filter like stock then I would say 15-20K miles depending on environment. You can always inspect it to see how bad it is. Tell tale signs are blackness from all the dirt on the bottom of the filter.
