so my solution to this problem is to remove the tape that came with it then buy 3m double sided tape that is thick enough to compensate for the tiny little lip. and will provide much larger surface area then it did from this damn company.

Did you buy one with a cleanable filter or disposable?

I bought oil free but I didn't know it was white. What is the difference anyways?

The white one is meant to be disposable The blue one is oiled and can be cleaned. So there's your first issue figured out.

I believe the brake booster line can just be left loose in the engine bay, if you mean the semi-rigid black line. That's what I did at least.

Well i bought some heavy duty outdoor mounting tape and covered the back of the metal mount with it to the point that it was all flush. After that i secured it to the ECU which actually worked a little too well as i didn't place it exactly in the right spot and couldn't get it off lol. I probably could but didn't want to pull too hard. I got the brake line mounted to it no problem but the intake line of fresh air didn't exactly line up. My solution to that was to just zip-tie it in place instead of screwing it in as it was really close. Now i am wonder how good of an idea that is. Any input from you guys would be nice! I think i'm going to contact NM and see if they will send out a new bracket and i'll just buy the blue filter at a later date. What made me mad about this situation was the fact that when i went to buy the intake i entered the year and model of my car and that was the only high flow intake they had leading me to believe that was the right one for my car. I looked again and now i see two options on there so i'm not sure what happened when i went on there to buy this damn thing.

I had a similar issue and I drove for a month with the intake "hanging", it wasn't really a big deal. I have the blue intake and like all colored intakes, it will be brown and stained soon. It's nearly impossible to keep the color. It's a good intake 50 state carb legal, and makes the sound we all like. NM is very good about sorting out this type of stuff.

We'll right now I have it secured to the bracket. I bought some scotch heavy duty outdoor mounting tape and layered it up on that metal bracket until it was all level. I got the brake like in and the hole for that pipe didn't quite line up so I just zip tied it. If you drove for a while with it loose I'd imagine it should be okay. I love the intake and it'll look good when I get the right filter. They should specify that though. Now I just need some tips for getting the bracket off. I think I went a little overboard on the tape lol. Hopefully they will just send me the right bracket so I don't have to take the whole thing off and send it back. Thanks for the response I will reach out to them. Hopefully the bracket is the only difference. I did notice the silicone piping was kind of a tight fit. Nothing crazy though. It changes the while sound of my car though. I may be crazy but I also feel like it added some more power. Mainly because I was running the JB+ bone stock and now it can breath better or its the turbo noises making me feel like I'm going fast. I really just don't want to take it out again. That metal nm shield thing was a pain to get on. Everything else was easy except for the improvising of the bracket. When I first start the car all you hear is air rushing into the engine.

I think you will be ok, just make sure the filter is on tight so it doesn't slip off. The first time I started the car, I noticed how much louder it was in the garage, it made a whooping sound until it warmed up. One on the options with Manic is you can request Quiet Start, this allows the car to sound quieter as if it was already warmed up for day?

Yeah I can't wait until I get my manic tune. I'm in the process of building up to it. It makes my turbo whistle a little bit when really getting it lol.

So I feel like I should update this. I made this when I was mad about it not fitting after I spent time working on it I sent NM an email about it and they have been absolutely helpful. They are alright in my book. Don't let this mishap detour you from checking out their products.

Also, not a good idea to insult a manufacturer in a thread title before you work with them to resolve the problem!
