Used the 3M headlight restoration kit. They work really great. The funny thing is the lenses had so yellowed that I thought I had halogens. They looked like halogens and produced yellow halogen like output. Turns out I have factory Bixenon. Nice surprise, but I was really looking forward to trying the LED headlights. Too bad. Highly recommend the 3M product to restore old headlights.

No matter what plastic headlights will yellow over time due to reaction to sunlight and elements. I've used every kit possible, even hand sanded my headlights and polished/waxed them several times, but they always yellow again. Nothing lasts. I have, however, invested in Xpel headlight protection film as an added layer of protection that has worked well to prevent yellowing overtime.

I'm working on it - my dealer is working on locating a particular color and options combo I'm looking for. I'm getting a manual, of course, and those are somewhat hard to track down at the moment... If we can't find the car I want, I'll order by the end of the week.

Uh... Here's some extremely large news for anyone out of pocket on timing chain replacement:

http://www.law360.com/newjersey/arti...***-settlement

This makes it even more baffling that mini is still refusing to help cover the costs of my current timing chain issue. They really just want to drive people away, don't they?

Like how the rear exhaust is center still , very JCW. Nice you have the green , was in the orange Convertible R Once, Exhaust sounds good. Body looks soo good. Let us know how it performs and if you have any issues. Worked on older Jag and the lucas electronics drove me nuts.

Lucas electronics - ouch. If Lucas was still around and this Jag had them, I'd definitely be driving something else. Moving to Bosch was one of the best decisions Jag ever made...

The car sounds phenomenal. It's just got such an incredible, throaty sound to it and it backfires so perfectly. Makes me laugh every time. Of course, the luxury element doesn't hurt, either... having a hand stitched leather headliner is quite a step above what was present in the R56. I'm not used to that level of luxury!

Yep, lots of people have. It was a one year thing.

I am about to join the "divorced from MINI" Club also. I own a 2010 R56 with the N14 engine. This is without a doubt the worse car purchase experience of my life. Let's just all admit it. These cars are a piece of junk. That's really all there is to it.

But, life it too short to go back to a boring Japanese car, no matter how reliable they are, and since I cannot afford a 911 or an F-Type Jag, I will go for the poor man's German sports car, which is a 2016 VW GTI.

I'm sure it will have all sorts of problems too, but it can't get worse than a MINI. Shame on you BMW for making such a garbage product.

Sorry to hear of your problems. I have two and they have been good cars - 2008 base and 2012 base. We now have a third being added to the family. Tomorrow we pick up another 2012 base in black. He'll be called "Darth". Take care.
