Help me please Wagner intercooler install

I just got my competition Wagner intercooler and I'm having trouble getting it installed, there's this crash bar on the bottom of front end that keeps me from putting it in. Am I allowed to removed the whole crash bar? Will the air bags go off off I remove it?

Is your car a 2013? They have a bigger crash bar. I have seen people remove them to fit the intercooler, so you should be OK to remove it. If it's a 2012 or less it should fit. Most people cut the small top bracket, however it should fit if you get it in there at exactly the right angle.

Remove it, or notch it out so it fits

I had to temporarily remove mine to install the intercooler. When you do if you have difficulty reinstalling it, it's because the chassis has become torqued. Make sure the it is equally jacked up on both sides or if all else fails lower it back down on the wheels and it will be easier to reinstall it.

I have seen both, remove it and then but it back on for safety. I actually had to notch my out a tiny bit to make the IC fit flush.

Thanks for the help guys I had to notch the bottom of the crash bar and grind the top tab off because it was hitting the top crash bar.

I couldn't really tell a difference in power with the new intercooler, but I felt that I could do more pulls before the power fades. I get my downpipe next week thanks to dustypants. Then it's time for my stage 2 tune. Should I just get the stage 2.5 tune until I get my Aquamist?

You can do the tune first and then the Aquamist, just drive on Map A and B and save C for when you get the tune. Most of my customers go for the methanol/race gas tune, specially for map C. Power is addicting. I would say my most conservative customers quickly became the most aggressive

You won't feel a difference if you don't update the tune to match. Yes the IAT is cooler, but you also have a bigger pressure drop. Once it's tuned you'll be good to go.
