Is there a way to find the BMW/Mini part number of a known X connector number?

I've been trying to figure out how to find a BMW/Mini part number based on something I know exists from the wiring schematics.

Specifically, I'm looking for an X10387 connector (which plugs into the nav system's joystick, aka component A167b). I'm also looking for X13820 and X13823.

So far, I've had no luck using realoem.com (which doesn't have much in the way of electrical connectors in the diagrams) or bmw-planet.com's WDS (which has electrical info galore but not the part numbers I need to order bits).

Someone must have run into this challenge before. Anyone?

Thanks!

Call your dealer, their software has the connector and terminal part numbers

I've never had luck digging up electrical connector part numbers for any of my cars. If you find a source for the BMW ones that would be awesome!

Yup, gotta call the dealers. I had to replace the connector after the aux water pump decided to enter the nuclear melt down stage and become a plastic blob. There a pain in the *** to assemble just as a heads up. Take your time and get a wire diagram as well.

I took you guys' advice and called the parts department at MINI of Peabody. Tom took some notes and said he would have to do some digging and will get back to me with parts. He warned that some cables aren't available already assembled and that I might have to make them myself from the parts. No problem, I can do that.

Crossing fingers.

My dealer couldn't figure out the part numbers from the WDS info or their parts lookup system.

Frustrating.

Not sure if this will do the trick — I haven't found the connector itself, but I *can* tell you it plugs into part 65823449102. (Part number verified against the joystick module sitting on my desk.)

Here's the WDS diagram I'm working off of:

And here's the part itself — the X10387 plugs into the keyed 4-pin socket you can see at lower right:

But the steps on the right hand side look like more steps then that, but looks to still fit.. You can give is a shot. That the only one I could find right now.

65823449102 SS to 65823456246

For reference there is a separate section on RELAOEM with some of the elctrical connectors on, albeit its not easy to match them up to where in the car they are or which looms they belong to.

You are a star. That looks like it should fit the keying. I've just put that and the pin terminals into my cart, added some wipers I need too. Used your link so you should get credit for the sale.
