08 Cooper S R56 cranks but won't start
2008 Cooper S R56 engine N14
When push start button engine cranks but won't start. No fault codes Battery replaced 9 months ago and charge is ok Spark plugs checked ok Fuel high pressure pump replaced In tank fuel pump fuse ok You can hear pump starts when door is open Any ideas please and how we do a fuel delivery check |
If the engine is cranking you can try pulling the plugs and if they are wet you are least getting fuel into the cylinders. Some cars won't spray the injectors if they don't see some sensors plugged in. IDK if the mini is like that or not. You're not getting any CELs? Have you recently done any work on the car?

We have an 09 R57 S and had a similar issue with it. As it turns out, even with no CEL present, the temp sensor told the ECU that the engine was overheated as you tried to start it. It would turn over but never fire. Just something to check!
