HP expectations with mild mods

(sorry, wrong forum!) Hey all, new to the mini world. I have a '12 MCS (manual) I did a bunch of research and decided to start with a JB+ tune and a drop in K&N (NM torque insert and rear sway are next.) I'm just looking for some reliable power upgrades without voiding my warranty and spending a fortune. What kind of wheel HP can I expect from the JB+ with a drop in filter? The claim on their website seems high (20hp/30tq,) unless those figures are with race gas and other mods. I have easy access to 93 octane and I live at sea level in FL. I'm not really into suspension mods for now, as I will probably never go to a track and there are basically no twisties in FL. But very possibly down the line. For now, just looking for a bump in power. Is there any thing else that would net some decent gains without getting too expensive or voiding my warranty? Any experiences, sugguestions or input on any of the above would be appreciated!

With an otherwise stock car, I think a more realistic number for the JB+ is 15 whp.

I would be happy with 15 whp, especially for $300. What else might net some decent gains with out getting crazy? Was a drop in over a CAI an ok choice? I kept reading conflicting info on drop-in vs CAI

On the F56 forum somebody dyno'ed an MCS with the JB+ and got 235 HP. That's like 45 HP gain if you believe base is 190. But some people say the MCS base is more like 210 HP. He didn't dyno the car before the JB+ don't know why not. One of the Burger Tune vendors did and got a 30 HP increase as I recall.

The "JB+" is not for the F56. The "JB stage 1" is but it's a totally different device with totally different capabilities.

For the JB+, I've seen dyno results as low as 8 whp and Burger claims 20 whp so somewhere in the middle (15 whp) is probably reasonable. I know that when I had mine I would get 1-3 psi increase over stock depending on other conditions.

15-20 whp sounds pretty solid... this is my first turbo car, i see why you european car lovers get all excited! that's pretty easy power. my only other european car was a '03 VW GLI (actually built in Mexico :P) with the VR6 engine and 6 sp. good engine for it's time, made some great sounds but to get 15-20 whp out of that thing would probably cost $1500+. not to mention it weighed a little over 3k pounds, so a few whp gain wouldn't really even make much of a difference. would it be fair to say a JB+ MCS would equal or come close to the performance figures and #'s of a stock JCW if all things equal? (ie. HP/TQ and 1/4 mile times) not trying to start any kind of war here, just curious.
