New to Mini's-Many Questions

Names Jared and me and my wife just recently bought a 2007 R56S automatic.
Car is stock besides a homemade CIA, I took the airbox out and bolted a filter to the MAF. I also ordered and installed a JCW turbo inlet tube after the stock one got brittle and broke off at the turbo. The hood scoop plastic is also removed. I realize performance wise it may not make a big difference but the sound is awesome!

Questions:

I used to own a Stage II+ B5 Audi S4, 0-60 at 5sec. or lower, 1/4mile in about 12.5-13. Loved that car and I'm wondering what it'll take to get performance atleast close to that out of the mini.

Wife wants the car to not be much louder than it is now.

If I added the above to the exhaust pretty much right after the down pipe would there be a good performance gain? I read where someone said that to get the max out of it that the car needed aftermarket downpipes so would that mod make any difference on the stock car? It would be for when we take it to the drag strip etc.

Can someone provide me with an idea on what kinda parts it would take to get about 0-60 in 5.5 or less? I've tried searching the forum (alot) but I'm still unclear on what the best route would be. I'm trying to get a plan going for the car so any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks and God Bless!

Also what kind of a difference does weight make to a mini? I've own 2 foxbody's and with them it was easy to lose weight and its said every 100lbs makes 10hp dif. on a foxbody, if thats factual or not i don't know. If it does make a big difference then what are the common things to eliminate for weight? If its too intricate I wont mess with it but some cars its easy to do.
