So I'm finishing up my new clutch, flywheel, fork arm, rear main seal, output shaft seal, serpentine belt, valve cover gasket, oil change project and I'm stuck

I have one electrical connector I can't find a mate for. Please check out the photos below and hopefully someone will know. This wire is coming from the firewall going under the ECM and needs to land somewhere on the drivers side of the engine bay. This is silly, but I hope someone can help me get this thing going.

Many of us have that same lonely connectors near the fuse/firewall area, it doesn't connect to anything. A few months ago another member was freaking out about it and we told her the same thing, it's not used at all.

Maybe if it truly doesn't connect then it is part of the alarm/harness. If you had an alarm, the hood sensor would plug into it?

I like this answer because I've already wasted an hour trying to find it's mate. Now I can get this car back together.

Good guess, that's probably what it's for.
