Should I get this exhaust system and add a DP?

So I'm close to finally working on my exhaust system. Now, I have 11' MCS, so I am doing a custom exhaust. I already have a resonator delete but I don't know if I should get the 2nd cat removed? I am gonna get a magnaflow muffler on and then a Akrapovic or Riss racing DP. So for all the genius exhaust folks I need your help!!!

Get rid of the 2nd cat. There is no O2 sensor after that cat so the ECU doesn't care if it's out of the system.

Magnaflow gave me the part #14226 for the muffler portion of there catback system. The part is $110.00 ordered at local part store. When I talked to magnaflow they said i really didn't need the rest of the system unless I wanted the whole thing in stainless and it would give me same performance as stainless if I replaced muffler only.. Muffler does not come with tips, ill have to figure that out later. I haven't decided if I want dual tip or large oval. They also said to remove the resonators to change the tone.

Yeah I am doing exactly what your doing but I might as well have my 2nd cat gone like Shane said. It adds like 7hp from what others say. Ill be going with the oval tips 3.5". But definitely get your resonator out!!! Let me know if you beat me to it soon, and post a video up.

Get the Akrapovic downpipe first. Otherwise you'll get your exhaust where you want it sound wise then add the downpipe and it will be too loud. So build the exhaust with the downpipe so you do it right the first time.

Hey RobMuntean, I removed the second cat, resonator and I have a Magnaflow muffler, sounds so smooth and has the right level of sound for my tastes, my only complaint (if you wanna call it that) is that there is a touch of drone, but it doesn't bother me one bit. Oh! And I have dual 4" tips that fill up that gap nicely!

MyR56s, that's exactly what I want to do to my car and I think I will. I still hear that with a DP on my N18 engine complicates the CEL situation but for now I think ill do exactly with that setup. What were the parts number? And now that I see those four inch tips, it just changed my mind officially! Thanks man.

Good evening my friend! I will agree with an above post however. The DP will make her louder than mine. Put that on and then build your exhaust. Its a good plan to ensure the right sound. The muffler is a standard Magnaflow (2.5" in, 2 - 1 1/2" out) with double walled 4" tips. No slash cut. My exhaust guy had all the parts so I don't know the numbers but I can ask him for you.

I'll PM you my email address and I'll get you some more pics of the complete job.
