time to have a tune up?

my car hits 70k (07 mini cooper base model) and I feel like my car needs to have a tune up..
I have rpm idling since 64k however engine light didn't come on.
rpm is really unstable these days... especially when at full stopped, rpm goes down to 400-500 rpm and then bumps up to normal shaking...
I feel like my car lost some powers when i drove..
do you guys think that it's time to have a tune up?

If you engine is bogging like that it could be because you have a vacuum leak. You can check the condition of your spark plugs but I have a feeling you have something else causing the engine surging like a vacuum leak.

spark plug change is only 15 mins and helps around that milage (about when I noticed the same thing)

Carbon build up it is always the carbon build up.

Carbon buildup is not supposed to be much of a problem with the "Justa" models, just the DFI S and JCW models.

Oops skipped that part.

Vacuum leak is my bet. Intake boot might be cracked.

Verdict?

I'm a little late to the "party" here... but my 09 Justa is doing the SAME thing as stated at the beginning of this thread...

I've changed the spark plugs... seemed to help for a min, and then it continued to have a rough idle in the 400-500 range.
