larger wheels & tires = codes?
I spoke with an independent MINI repair specialist about my codes.
MINI DTC P0503 (0x32D0) - Vehicle Speed: Signal Too High
MINI DTC P3202 (0x3091) - Powertrain (PT) CAN Communications Fault: CAN-BUS off or CAN-BUS Defective
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...503-p3202.html
He says it may be because of my upgrade from 15inch wheels to 17inch wheels. This does make some sense because the issue appeared shortly after I put on my larger wheels. If this is not the reason then it may be a faulty wheel speed sensor or ABS sensor?
I was wondering since a lot of us have gotten new larger wheels & tires if anyone else has this issue as a result of this?
I also still have the stock oem 15inch wheels which i fitted with Blizzaks. My concern is that if i get my wheel speed sensor recalibrated, will it still work with my original wheels?
Thanks!

As long as you stuck with appropriately sized tires with your upgrade in rim size, the car shouldn't care about the rims.
Your thoughts about the wheel sensor is spot on, I bet one or more got damaged during the wheel change. Start there first. Make sure all of those are working properly, you will need to either get access to BMW/MINI diagnostic software or take it to a BMW/MINI shop or dealer to troubleshoot and diagnose the speed sensors.

A wheel change from 15" to 17" done properly will not cause this type of problem. The standard 15" tire that comes on a MINI is approximately 24.5" diameter. Going to a 17" with the proper ratio would give you a tire with an approximate 24.5" diameter.
Now with that said I personally have had tires on my MINI that are as low as 23.6" Diameter and it has not caused any codes and going up in diameter to say 25.5" should not cause that type of problem unless you have one to three tires that are one size and then another that is another size. As long as all are the same size then the cars sensors will all be in sink. If they are not then it could cause this problem.
Of course any large change is going to make a BIG difference in the speed that your speedometer reads. Small changes of 0.25" will even make a change in the speed that your speedometer reads.
Tell us what size the tires i.e. like 205/45-17 and we can tell you if the tires would even get close to causing any codes.
