R56 The OFFICIAL Bayswater Owners Club
#76
Just joined the Bayswater club yesterday! I had ordered a 2012 Countryman S but after thinking, and waiting, and thinking, and waiting some more, I decided that the bigger MINI just wasn't for me. I knew my dealership had a few Bayswaters (two S's and one Base), so we made a quick trip to Memphis yesterday to figure out which one I wanted. Test drove the automatic and the manual S's, and decided to go with the automatic. I was tempted to get the manual, especially because it was that new Eclipse Gray color whereas the auto was Midnight Black, but I guess laziness won out - and besides, our Classic Mini Mayfair is manual so I can still have fun rowing the gears in that one.
The car is Midnight Black with black headlight housings, anthracite headliner (thank goodness after reading some of these posts!), Premium II, heated seats, satellite radio, chrome line interior, white turns, etc.
Even though all the trip home was in the dark, and we live over three hours from the dealership (and thank goodness I didn't hit a pot hole coming out of Memphis like the other guy did!), it was still a blast. I really like the car's interior seating and trim surfaces.
Anyway, glad to be here! I'll be sure to post pics as soon as I can clean off the bugs he covered himself in last night!

Well, I surprised my GF with her Bayswater on Friday. She was shocked to see it in her garage (she was expecting to pick it up the next day). The dealership was amazing throughout the whole process.
It's a 2012 manual and has: Premium, Cold Weather, Bayswater (obviously), centre armrest.

Hah, wow, you must've had a pretty bad experience there! I have bought several cars from them in the past, but that's mostly because they're "only" 3 hours away compared to 4 hours away from the next nearest dealership. Like I mentioned to you in PM, Little Rock will soon be getting a MINI dealership and I am super excited for that!

I saw one the other day on the freeway. Didn't know anything about the BW. The one I saw was blue. Goodlookin sled!

Here's one of my MINI's stablemates, a 2012 128i Coupe. It's pretty cool to have the choice between a small, fun-to-drive FWD car, and a small, fun-to-drive RWD car. The biggest difference? The 128i gets an easy 10 mpg less on the highway. Kinda sad that such a small car gets such poor MPG but it sounds good while doing it! And if I want good fuel economy, my Austin Mini gets well over 40.

Will be leaving to go pick ours - OK, my wife's - Bayswater in a few hours.
Had a 2007 MCS and loved it - it had the manual transmission though and she didn't like driving it in town. Her Bayswater is an automatic so she'll be quite pleased.
Now I just have to see if I can swing ordering a Spiced Orange MCS for myself.

Well....
I guess here in Canada it's an option because the car was available at the dealer with the blue top.(did not see it on the Mini website tough) We choose the blue top since the few ones we saw on the road had a black top and the one at the dealer had the blue top and we found it was different. We are getting the windows tinted this coming Monday...so the blue top should standout even more I'll post pics once the windows get tinted.

New Bayswater
Hi we have ordered a Kite Blue with Black Roof, Bayswater Cooper S. Other items include the anthracite headliner, panorama roof, lighthouse package etc. We had also ordered the black headlights but apparently they are not available with the lighthouse package which is a disappointment. Live in NZ so not expecting to see it until January. Looking forward to it.
