mini cooper intake/exhaust
i have a 2011 mini cooper hatchback, not the "s" version. I am looking to add some speed and some sound. I would like to adda cold air intake, but was told that i need other things first. My questions are 1. if i get a cold air intake, do i need to buy anything else? and 2. what would be the best option as a first upgrade to help with speed/pickup and sound. I hope someone can help me!

I also have a 2011 mini non-s. I've been wanting to mod it for a while. I want to put on a Remus exhaust or maybe a VIP. I'm from NJ and therefore limited to what I can get as it has to be CARB approved (I know I can get the parts and uninstall them for inspection, but I'd rather not go through the hassle and would rather my car to sound good all the time). As for intake I wanted to put in a K&N or a DDMWORKS, but I don't believe either or CARB approved. So again I might go with a VIP as I think its CARB approved as they're based in Arizone (Another CARB state). As for extra parts you would need I'm not sure. Intake and exhaust I believe are pretty simple if you're just replacing the stock set-up and what you're replacing it fits where the old one used to.

someone sent me this link, I'm not too crazy about the look, but it may be the only option for me, though I'm still looking. For the Remus exhaust either just go to there website or minimania (Remus' is better though) for all the info on it. |
