How much are 07 Mini's being bought for right now...
I'm in the process of looking for an 07 mini cooper s. I wanted to know what other people are purchasing their 07 MCS for, right now from a private party or dealership.
I've seen a few being offered that have approximately 50k asking $17,000. I dont know whether that's reasonable. Cars seem to be in good shape. I'm trying to find the best deal possible. I'm excited for my purchase of a Mini but I'm willing to wait to find the right one. Any feedback would be appreciated! |
I can't speak to 07, but I purchased an '06 Justa with 30,000km (18,000 miles?) for $16,888 CAD

I say get them to show you the window sticker. That's probably the price that was paid in 07. Figure about 2/3 of that is what it's worth in excellent condition, with about 40k miles. Go down from there. My car cost about $30k, I would try and get $20k private, it's in excellent condition, only a few little door dings and a little rock ding on the front.

I bought mine last year in February for $21,600. It only has 2 options on it and they aren't the best options. I have sport suspension and it came with crown spokes. I do not have MFSW which I am in the process of getting and I also had the iPod adaptor install and mudflaps put on.

Bought mine last November. Premium, Sport, Comfort, Winter packages plus a few other options. 13,000 miles. Paid $19,000. Car in excellent condition.

The price seems high. I paid $17k for a 2008 MCS w/13k miles in May. $35k sticker.
|
I forgot I also bought mine in Hawaii so it is going to be a little more expensive.

I bought mine, a 2007 S Coupe with Performance, Cold Weather, and Sports Pkgs with leather and 14,749 miles for $21,200 with no dings and no scratches whatsoever. Maybe a little high, but I have 1 year of warranty left as well. The car was definitely cared for and not beaten.
At the time, it was KBB right on the money so I was pleased. |
I ran across an 07 MCS, laser blue, with convenience pkg. and premium pkg. the last of May this yr. Had 70000 mi on it, (it lived on the interstate). The guy had it listed on craigslist for $14000. I had been looking for a month or so with a 15K tops I was going to spend. Up until this point that had kept me in the 2005 or less, and I was specifically looking for an S. I had internet searched across the entire US for any 2007+ S for under 14000, found 1. What I saw was that the next price range for an 07 MCS was 15.5K to 17K for one from an individual, and around 18K to 20K from a dealer. I looked at NADA for this laser blue 07 MCS with 70K mi. It had average trade in 14.8K, Clean retail 18.9K. I checked the vin, with auto check, (which I would recommend anyone do when purchasing a used car). It was a 1 owner, no accident vehicle, with miles. And yes, after talking to the owner and a short test drive, I wrote the man a check. I had asked him if he would take less than 14K for the car, (just because I had to) and he said NO. I was the first person to call about the car, after he had listed it. It needed tires, (he wasn't running runflats, and I'm not either), so after tires, tax, and title, I've got 15K in a good looking, fast, 07MCS. If you want to see want an 07 is selling for, shop the internet, Auto trader, etc. Start low and go up until you start seening the year model start coming up, this will tell you what people are asking for their cars. The car I bought for 14K, a dealer would have put new tires on it, and would have been asking 17K to 19K for the car.

I got my mint condit 07 S w/ 22K mi in Feb for $18,900
|
I bought my 07S in February of this year for $19k, with 21k miles on it, fully loaded with lounge leather. The car had all of its services done at the dealership I worked at and was a trade-in for an older woman. So far, I have no regrets.

not a single offer . . .
I'll bee |
Just bought my 2007 MCS yesterday (9/4/10) for 17k. Auto, premium, convenience, nav, sport package, leather, bluetooth. Bought it from a dealer in texas. It was a trade in with 50k on the clock. The car is cherry. No body damage, paint work or anything.
Just keep your eye out and search for the right car. |

That's the best deal I've heard of. Is there something you're not including? |

Found the right MCS
Well after looking for a long time now I ended up finding the right one. Although its not a 2nd Gen MCS, its still a MCS. 06 30k for $14.5.
Had all of the service papers sent over to me from the dealers and mechanics. Had an inspection done by a mini dealer. Everything checked out just fine. I'm looking forward to going to pick it up. Thanks everyone for your feedback. |
I picked up an 07 MCS manual with 33k miles, perfect inside, the outside was pretty solid as well with only a few minor scratches that I already took care of. It was preinspected by the dealer before the sale came with all dealer maintenance.
Bought it from a used car dealer in Cali for $17,800 with free tint and complete detail. It was a very competitive price, I was very lucky to find this one at a dealer at this price. Best part is, was still under warranty and we took it to the dealer and they replaced a bunch of parts. |
Got my '07 MCS w/ 36K miles for $17K. It was at a Chevy dealer and it was sitting on the lot for about a year.
|
Picked up my 2008 MCS w/17.8k on the clock for $18,495 a couple weeks ago from a local Toyota Dealer. So I would think $17k for a 2007 sounds reasonable...
|
I bought my 07 S in June of last year. It had 22k on the odometer. It has the cold weather package, sport package, convenience package and the premium package. The dealership threw in the iPod adapter and new cloth floor mats at no extra charge. I paid $19,900.

I have been looking at MINIs for about six months now. I have seen prices drop a good $2-5k in this time for the 2007s. When I first started my search, I couldn't find anything above a 2005 in my price range, now I'm starting to find 2007 MCS at the higher end of my price limit. I am hoping in another 3-6 months I will be able to find an 08 in my price range.
I cannot wait to REALLY start shopping for my MINI. I hate my car. I hate driving it, I hate looking at it, I hate trying to park it. I want something fun to drive again. |
