I just spotted a Laurel hatchback driving north on Braddock Rd. in Fairfax, Va this morning. Did you get it at Passport Mini?

Does anybody know why the stripes are on different sides of the hood? Mine are on the driver's side.

So you can tell the difference between the the 3 LAUREL's. In the old days the stripe was over the driver.

lol

1. Hatchback has the stripe on the passenger side and the side skirts painted to body color.

2. Clubman has the stripe on the drivers side and un painted sideskirts

3. Convertible has no roof!

I bought my R56 Laurel in July. A little over a week ago I pulled into a local gas station in a small town here in NC. As I drove in I noticed this guy standing in front of a minivan staring at my Laurel. When I got out he said, "Whoooooaaaaa. Sweeeeeeeeet!" He then got in his car and left. It's fun getting compliments like that!

Here's a picture of the Laurel in my driveway 3 days after I brought it home.

Indeed they are. My Laurel came with the summer configuration- 17" black web spoke rims with performance tires. *Very* nice looking rims but for the money I would have preferred the winter configuration. I attached a picture so that you can see the rim better.

On a related note I was sitting in the oral surgeon's office this morning waiting for my appointment. A medical professional from some neighboring office walks in and says, "Sir that is the best looking Mini I have ever seen. My assistant and I just had to do a full walk-around to look at your car." Then he left. True story! I just love owning a Mini!!

As I understand it there were two different wheel setups. The Laurel summer configuration had black web spoke rims and the winter configuration had black crown spoke rims along with all season tires.

I just had Doug make me ***** for both of our cars with the laurel wreath around the center. Can't wait to put them on the cars. I'm also having him make E-brake handles.

Hey Laurel Owners,
The Laurel is my favorite looking MINI and if I had gotten my MINI a little bit later I would have snatched up one of those 300. I love the stripes and I am trying to recreate them. I just need a few measurements if one of you 300 wouldn't mind. I need the width of both stripes and the distance between the 2 stripes. Once I have some measurements I hope to have them custom made. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out. I may not have a laurel but at least I have a PW!

(I'm easy to pick out in this picture)
