Not sure about the NYC area, but there are a few shops in Mass that do a great job for repairing bent rims to as good as new. Costs is about 100-150 depending on the shop. That is a lot cheaper than buying a new rim.
Check Tirerack.com for the highest rated installer in your area and ask them if they know of anyone local to you.

Could try looking in the NAM market place for a used wheel. I feel your pain the roads here in Omaha are riddled with pot holes. Very grateful for the mini's ability to turn quickly its like navigating a mine field.
There are plenty of places in the Bronx. One that I know is good is on Boston Post Rd. right before Conner St. I don't know if you're familiar with the area but there are plenty of places in NYC to fix a rim depending on the damage the price will vary.
Good luck with getting it fixed.
I cringe every time I hit one of those blasted wheel-killing holes!

It is possible to fix. But as stated in this thread look in the marketplace for same rim and compare it to how much it would cost to have your bent one fixed. I would fix the rim only if the shipping and other rim would cost more but I would probably buy the extra rim and have the other one fixed so that if you had a flat you would have a replacement to go. Keep us posted
There's an autobody place on magnolia st in Elizabeth nj. I think I paid 65 to fix a bent rim and plug a flat. That price was about 5 years ago. This was for an 03 g35. Problem with that wheel was the paint. It's a hard color to match. I don't know how the mini rim is but that would be your biggest problem.
Btw, consider yourself lucky. I hit one and it busted the headlight bracket and the rim and tire. Had to get a new headlight installed for $500. Bought a used rim off of eBay for 125 and still need to buy a tire.

thanks for all the advice i found a place in long island that will fix it for about 150. he is recomended by bmw and infiniti drivers and has a good reputation. also looked into buying a new rim and its about 450 everything included, so for now just thinking about what route im gonna go with. just hate having my baby sitting in the driveway while i see which way im gonna go
yea i was so careful about the potholes here in new Orleans (i swear worst roads in America) when one day after a hard rain i took a turn at mini speed (aprox 45 mph) and hit a pothole camoflauged as a puddle. popped my tire, luckily i didn't hurt the rim.
I had a simliar situation. I thought the rim had just bent, but after I removed the tire, the barrel was cracked. I ended up selling my 3 good ones and breaking even on Konig wheels I replaced them with. I couldn't find a good deal on a nice used one. It worked out in the end, because I like my Konig wheels better. I plan on taking the face of my bent web spoke and making it into a clock.
that's funny, it happened to me too, bent my rim a little bit because of potholes and i got it fixed today in brooklyn, they did an awesome job and they only charged me $50. 1044 Pacific Street.
Good times. I'll find out tomorrow whether my rim is also damaged or not. I took a pothole in San Francisco at no more than 25mph, and it killed one of my runflats. The tire flexed so much on impact that it left a black rubber mark about an inch onto the edge of my rim.
yea man that sucks. i didn't bend my rims, but my car did roll off the jack to set upon my hand, luckily i can dead lift 685 lbs and thats just enough to pick the front end off the ground enough to remove ones hand. a swollen/ bruised up hand is better than a ruined rim any day in my book
Hey Matt, we meet again.

Unbelievable that I found your R98 pot hole wheel pics, because the same exact thing happened to MY R98s just a few weeks ago, prompting me to search for new wheels, which were those OEM R107s (GP).
Check out my "twin" picture, it was also still drivable according to MINI:

Btw, I was contemplating fixing my one bent wheel, but since I'm already seeing 2 others on this thread that need SINGLE R98s with tires, I could certainly sell my remaining wheels to you guys if you're interested.
I have 2 that are MINT condition, 1 that has some curb rash but not too bad (below), and of course the 1 bent one with no tire. TPMS has been removed, and all tires have 8000 miles on them (Dunlop 205 45R 17 runflats).

If there's no interest, then I'm going to fix the bent wheel and then sell this as a set (minus one tire) on NAM, Craigslist, and Ebay.
Let me know fellas.

Here is the complete set. Tires have NOT been fully mounted in anticipation of new owner putting in their own TPMS:

Good christ ... you still got any teeth left in your head after that hit????
So while I still had my old car in Hawaii I was following someone a little close and they avoided the canyon, this thing was over half the size of the lane and was about a foot and a half deep and when I hit it it ended up bending 2 of my wheels which I traded in with it for the MINI. I kept the good wheels and put them on the MINI and they look awesome.
