What's my 08 MiniS worth?

MODS, I didn't see a more appropriate area to put this, so if needed, feel free to move it.

I have a Lightning Blue 2008 Mini Cooper S FULLY loaded. Leather, NAV, Blue line, 6 speed manual transmission, sunroofs, etc, etc. I paid over $34,000 for the car last August of 08. I am looking to move on to something with a backseat for passengers. I used this as my commuter car and it has been great. I currently have about 23,000 miles on it. 99% highway. (My commute was 92 miles round trip each day).

Just trying to get an idea of what I should ask for the car. Not sure what is an appropriate number before I post it in the classifieds section.

Thank you everyone in advance!

Regards,
Kyle

Even though those are highway miles, that's a LOT of miles for a 1 year old car. About double the average.

I would put an ad out there for $27,500 and expect to sell for around $26k.
Just my take though.

Use www.nada.com to get a guesstament as to what your '08 MCS might be worth.

I just Re-Fied mine and the CU told me to watch this to get an idea of what the value on it is. :)

I think that Nada.com and kbb.com are way off on there figures on what minis are valued at in this economy, they had my clubman valued at $23,000.00 no way. I trade my cars in yearly and I have found that when I tried to trade in my clubman that the trade in values from Los Angeles dealers were almost half of what I originally paid. I even tried listing the clubman on local papers and on auto trader I listed it at $19900.00 and I never got one call. My clubman was fully loaded auto, Leather, Sunroof, comfort convenience black headliner ect. Mint condition no accidents and it only had 5000 miles I ultimately sold the clubman to the dealer I bought it from.

I traded in my '08 MSCa with JCW Stage I kit, upgraded wheels, no nav, 20K miles and got 23500 from the dealer.

I think they sold it for 26-27K.

So, I'd say you're probably in the same range, no less than 25K, no more than 27K. Of course, that was about 4 months ago and the economy has slid down a bit more but I still think that would be realistic number.

Good luck....
