I know, I know, it's getting old but here we go again... spoiler.
Okay, so I redid my spoiler like 3 times. It was okay at best. It never really accomplished what I thought it should.
Soooooooo, this is what I started off with this morning. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...low/photo6.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...llow/photo.jpg First, I did this to it. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0060.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0061.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0062.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0063.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0064.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0065.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0066.jpg |
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0067.jpg
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0068.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0069.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0070.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0071.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0073.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0074.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0075.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0076.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0078.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0079.jpg This as much as I could get done today.... hopefully tomorrow I can get enough bodywork done to get some primer on it. Maybe this one will look better. Mark |
Interesting, I thought your old one looked nice!
|
Amazing stuff. Must have been getting A's in Geometry Classes :)
I really liked the old one too. Some very cool work went into that as well. Really Good stuff, thanks ! |
How about a small fiberglass induction scoop cut into the bonnet up top or to the side of the R53 SC scoop that ties into the front intake behind the grille ? Right now air flow has to go into grille and make a 90 degree turn up to reach opening....would have cooler and more direct air flow a from front scoop IMO. A top scoop could bring air directly down to lower part of airbox, or a front one would be a direct shot in.
See red outline of opening....it is blocked by bonnet. Would be as easy as installing a DFIC exit scoop I would think... http://i495.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1249954643 |
i think its looking muuch better!
the last one was sweet but too much cat ears lol |

Is the body shop that slow, or do you just not do any work while you are at work . Its looking good thus far, I'm excited to see the finished product.

Uh, I'll take the latter for 500 please... Nah, man, I've got 2 bodyshops. As long as the guys are working and I've got my stuff done, I'll work on my own crap. The problem is instead of screwing around with the spoiler today, I should have finished installing the supercharger on my H2. I installed it this weekend but could have spent the day finishing the detail stuff. Mark |
Better. :)
|
Not very flattering angle but I'm ready for priming tomorrow...
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...w/IMG_0092.jpg I'll get it done and if I don't like it, off it comes. We'll see. Mark |
It may not be my style, but I think it is amazing that you can make something like that. Congratulations! Plus ... I can't believe the state let you have that license plate ... excellent! :)
|
I think it'd look great with a standard MC spoiler underneath of it, giving it an almost double teared effect from rear.
|
it's looking good (again)!
|
I am not a fan but, hey its your car and the craftsmanship looks top notch. Look forward to seeing it finished.
|
Mark
That looks pretty good, but I already forgot what the previous 2 looked like  You should put some disclaimer on your photo "Do not try this at home..." :eek2: Seriously though if you didn't own a body shop (or two), there's no way this is a DIY special. Looking version 4 as well  |
Very cool man. Cant wait to see it finished.
|
I am liking this version already
|
cant wait for final product
|
orangecrush, I love your creations....
You should make a replica JCW challenge spoiler and sell them at a competitive price... |

hmm. i think i dont really like it...
because, from what it looks like the top is flat...so it seems really thick throughout? guess make sure to get some front shots?!! |
The first one looked like a Batmobile spoiler, but I liked it!
The new one looks awesome, I wish I could do the work you're doing, it's incredible. Love that license plate! |
Man, I hope this comes out okay.... if not, I've got a GP spoiler ready to order.
I got primer on the spoiler today and should have paint on it by midweek. If it sucks, I'll have the GP spoiler ordered by Friday. Mark |
