Yes it is. Works great for a unique user name! Unfortunately I don't use my ham radio much anymore except listening during bad weather.

I saw the wreckage in your gallery. Glad no one was hurt and it makes me feel really good about how well the Mini handled the roll. Hate that it happened. I am sure it was nerve rattling!

Not much drama, really. I missed the buck, right rear hit wet leaves and mud on the shady side of a mountain ridge, car did a 180 before I could think about it and backed over the edge. Not so fast going down. 30" ledge caused a slow-motion roll. Not like NASCAR. Still, she took care of me well. Not a scratch on me. Only blood I shed was in tears while serving my penance of 8 months until wife let me order another one.

That's extremely good to hear, both that you were ok and that the car protected you so well. Enjoy your new one!

Somewhere between Dallas/Fort Worth and Georgia. On the Owner's Lounge page it says that it will be delivered today but the dealership isn't open today so I still have to wait. Plus, they have to install the iPod adapter once it gets here. I'm having to relearn patience

Hang in there. For me the hardest part was staying under 4k after I picked her up.

I am certain that that will also be the most difficult thing for me. I like to call my driving "creative" but my family tends to call it "overly confident." Thus, why I am getting a Mini.

Spent the afternoon cruising through the Pocono Mountains with the top down. We spotted a total of maybe 6-7 MINIs in three hours of driving.

0 waves returned.

ON RT 29 S. I always see a few minis on my way to work. no one ever waves, unless i'm on RT 32. But I always wave even with the new beetle to other new beetle drivers. they're fun little cars.

They're are MINI drivers and drivers in MINIs. Keep up the search.

(P.S., I love gluhwein. That and curry wurst. There is a little shop that imports the German curry ketchup nearby.)

Other hand on wheel. You may want to rethink the maneuver.

I pulled into a gas station the other day and a mini came in from the other side. so I managed to get the pump right next to her thinking we could have a little chat while filling up. Nope not a word from her. Told her she had a nice car but she wasn't interested at all. really bummed me out but then not five minutes down the road I pass another mini and got a nice big wave. Ahhh the world is right again

Ok...not a MINI Wave, but the next best thing!! Last Saturday Hubby and I were at Wal-Mart doing our weekend errands, I wore my "I <3 MINI" T-shirt. A gentleman sitting with his Mom on the bench in the front of the store after we had already checked out asked if we owned a MINI.

*Big Smile* Yes, we own a MINI, he started to talk about the MINI he had ordered was ready to be picked up at the Dealership, same one we bought Molly from. He went on about how his wife didn't want him to have a MINI. We must have talked for about 15min., when we were through he said that he was going to call his MA right then and there and tell them he was going to be picking up HIS Mini!!

Not a W@VE per say, but a Great Story I thought I'd share!!

Oh...I DO W@VE enthusiastically...just ask my Husband!!

I came out of the store and saw a man talking to my wife who was sitting in my mini (yes, it is mine and she wants a countryman when it comes out). I figure he is asking directions. Turns out he has a mini too, which he wasn't driving that day, and he stopped to ask how we liked ours and tell us about his. Like you, I thought it was cool.

I just wave - the return wave is much traffic dependent - So I just wave at them as much as I can. But I admit sometimes traffic is distracting to the wave thing and I miss a few.

I'd like to think that person had just been told the primary breadwinner was at risk of being laid off and she was worried sick about maybe losing her MINI. Hope the job continuedd

My confidence in the few local Mini owners is now renewed!! -Kevin

Parked in BFE in a Homey Depot Parking Lot a gentleman was pulling in in a BMW 128i Vert. I told Hubby to L@@K, very nice car. The Bimmer driver pulled his car in the same aisle as our Molly 3 spots over. He exited his vehicle began to walk towards the store as we were coming up on our MINI he gave us a !! We both gave a , as I drove passed him I rolled down my window and said "we were admiring your car as well!!", he said "I was admiring your car, how do you like it??", we said "we L@VE it!!".
