MCS - Sport Stripes, Bonnet Stripes, or No Stripes

For those with a 2007-2009 MCS, curious if you have the sport stripes (twin parallel stripes down the center of the hood and/or boot), bonnet stripes (thin stripes on either side of the hood scoop), or no stripes. And if you have something customized, feel free to post pics.

OOOOhhhh nice!!!

Mine wil be the opposite of yours. Will post picts when I get it in 2.5 weeks.

Btw, I was listening to this week's podcast on Motoring file and they said that ppl are ordering the sports stripes 2 to 1 over the bonnet stripes. Sounds like the sports stripes are going to be more common in 2009.

SuperGreg 02-03-2009 03:07 PM

Thanks!
The 2 front to front would make for a great picture :)

my gallery has some pics as well

go with the sport stripes

I currently have the bonnet strips but would love to get Grand Sport stripes ala the 1996 corvette.

Bonnet stripes but I would have preferred the sport stripes.

Mine are homemade, not my design but my work...

Grand Sport Stripes? Think those might just be a bit to wide and heavy looking given the size of the vehicle.

Think I am leaning towards the Sport Stripes at this point. Actually prefer the look and think the Bonnet Stripe look has become too common.

I agree 100%. That's why I got the SS, way too many B stripes around. I don't want to see a clone of my car, and I have not yet :)

I ahve the standard stripes and going to change them and paint Viper stripes on next month. I really like both ways and even thought about no stripes at all...as you can see I am confused.

Kazy 02-03-2009 06:34 PM

I only have a Justacooper but..

I doubt I'll see a clone of my car anytime soon.

No stripes.

Tsar 02-03-2009 07:11 PM

No stripes, I prefer it that way.

ChrisTKD 02-04-2009 06:58 AM

I like the U bonnet stripe but it can be harder to find.

lawnboy 02-04-2009 07:03 AM

Seems to depend on the color; darker colors seem to look better with no stripes; lighter colors kind of need something.

No stripes and body colored roof. The Mini is a small plain car. Gawding it up with stripes wasn't my taste.

Small & Plain...really?

All factory parts on the outside with the exception of the scoop...Bonnet stripes have been on Mini's for a long time and I do not see Gawdy...more like a style. I think about 95% or more on this forum have bonnett stripes that makes 95% of the cars here Gawdy:eek:

Seems like you are starting to see more of the Sport Stripes than you use to.

i love stripes on the Mini and think it really completes the look. i have the bonnet stripes on mine, but the sport stripes would be a close second if done right.

lawnboy 02-04-2009 08:45 AM

Done right? Can you clarify? Just like the bonnet stripes, when ordering them, there is a specific location they are placed; right down the center of the hood.
