Let's see your Dark Silver MCS w/ black bonnet stripes!

Found a few 1st gen dark silver MCS on here with black bonnet stripes, but not very many of the 2nd gen models. Deciding between this one color pairing and pepper white w/ black stripe. Leaning towards the dark silver, but would love to see a few of your rides here. Once I get mine - which will be soon - I'll return the favor and add to this thread as well!

They're not the standard "bonnet stripes," but you can see pics in my gallery of a DS/B with black sport stripes...I like them a lot better than the normal stripes. But to each his own.

rsxtomcs, thanks for posting - precisely what i was looking for. funny that wolfeee made his post, because that is the other color scheme im deciding between. black stripes black top on pepper white. tough , tough decision!

Tygo Sep 23, 2008 04:21 PM

I'd say you can't go wrong with either of those choices Andrew, both were in my top choices.

I've seen a few PW/B w/ the black strips on the road and they're very nice. Also, PW/PW w/ the Aero Kits look good too! Saw one at the dealer when I picked up mine and was impressed.

I'll post pics of mine, but two more weeks,ughh... just off the Integrity and still in customs. Dk Silver was easy choice for me. TSXtoMCS, get some new pics with the tint on please.

Will do. I'd take one tomorrow, waxed it last weekend  , if my car was still in my possession............ The driver's side rear wheel must be magnetized or upset the great MINI God. I've had the car for three weeks and already trashed TWO Continentals! While driving at night I ran over a piece of separated tire tread (which I thought was kinda funny) and was greeted by my low pressure light. The steal wires were sticking out of the tire so that turned into a $250 expense I didn't budget.

Got the car back on 9/10 and on 9/22, a truck driving in front of me hit a dip in the road and all sorts of metallic bits and pieces fell onto the highway. Now I know why they call them Dodges. (I know, I'm a riot) I swerved to the right, heard the heart stopping sound of "ting, ting, ting" on my undercarriage and then a few seconds later, I was again greeted by my very expencive friend. Shortly after, I was in a parking lot fishing a 3in shard of metal out with a pair of pliers. Yes, I'm keeping the shard.

Anyone know a good Exorcist? Maybe I need to call out the big guns?

Hopefully this current endeavor will come to an end soon... I still love my Cooper though!

Here's a picture of said shard...

Dark Silver MCS w/ black stripes is totally the best color combo ever!!
I have a few pics in my gallery to share. I'm not sure how to link them directly. I've had my MCS since March 19th. She's completely stock, but i love her (...and my driving lamps!! =) :):):)

Zoe looks good! Yeah, you called it, DS/B is the way to go! How do you like your driving lights? Are they more of a wide flood pattern or a beam?

Bandit Sep 24, 2008 07:08 PM

here are a few of mine :)

DS/B all the way! =)

I love the driving lamps. I must admit though, I just really really like the way they make my MINI look. I bought them primarily for that, i think... But they are more "wide flood" as you'd call it. I dont use them a ton since i'm in the city but when i go home to visit my parents on occasion, i use them then since they're in the middle of nowhere VA =) They do really help though, they're just really bright. You definitely cant use them with anyone else on the road. I'd be scared to - scared that i'd blind someone and they'd smash my Zoe!:nod::nod:

Here is mine. I would consider the chrome mirror caps, I think they really finish off the car!

Whatever colors you go with, I'm sure you love it!

is it possible that there is a higher resolution picture that i can use as my desktop... as long as the photographer gives me permission?
