MINI on lift... this weekend's tinkering>>>

Went ahead and did the EBC ceramic brake pad install this weekend...so while the MINI was on the lift >>

took a few random pics and learned another thing or two..
label on the tranny (6 sp manual) says LIFETIME OIL: NO OIL CHANGE
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b7...nderengine.jpg
did not know that (then again still learning about the MINI  )

Front suspension inside

Rear suspension

And found out the S Winder alloys are made in Germany
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b7...wheelalloy.jpg
Guess the pic does not do any good showing that but it does say GERMANY on one of the embossed labels.

I also took pics of the brake pad install... post those later today..

BTW...the MINI is very easy car to work on

awesome lift, I can't wait to have a garage that I can put my car up on a lift like that...

When we built our house I tell folks the first priority was the garage then everything else was second  The lift is an electro-hydraulic SNAP ON mid rise>>> best tool I have EVER purchased>>>

Damm dude! Nice garage! If I ever get lucky enough to have my own house built (Not likely in San Diego) I want to do the same things to my garage. The wife can do whatever in the house. But the garage will be all mine. Nice Lotus also. My buddy bought one and let me drive it around. Kinda small for me (being 6'7) but it was a cool car.

Lifetime tranny oil from BMW = ~100000miles from my bmw experience. at least as far a manual transmission is concerned.

BTW fantastic garage and love the yellow Elise!

Wow good eye I had to look at the picture again to see the cat there in the middle of the floor.:)

BTW that is the famous watchcat who attacks any intruders that would break into the garage.

J/K:wink:
