I traded in a Ford F-250 diesel crew cab. I had it as a tow vehicle for my toyhauler. I also have a Sub that I kept because I needed a car to run my 2 Great Danes around. I tried, but they don’t fit well in the MCS.

I thought it was a fairly good daily, except for the mpg...Fun at Willow Springs also.

So, you are enjoying the Mini much better as a daily? I am looking forward to picking up my Mini S soon...

Here's my '01 M5. Headers, Metallic Racing Cats, Tubi Style Exhaust, BBS LM's, Power Pulleys, H&R Coilovers, Stoptech BBK, UUC SSK, AA CAI.

Our MC is on the boat now.. hopefully we'll have it before the end of july. Like you (if I recognized your user id) we have another "GT" hot rod at home when we have the need for speed.

I had an 03 Civic Si. I liked the bigger cargo space and the short shift adapter I threw in. But I like everything else better in the 08 MCS

2006 911S prior to that, 2003 911S... prior to that, 1997 911S4 all silver with black interior. Actually over the years I've had five 911's... all except one were silver with black interior.....guess I'm not very color adventurous. I'd probably still have the 911 except for old bones and a bad knee that was making it more and more difficult to get in and out of it... no such problem with the MINI, entry/exit is easy, even for this old man, and I don't miss the 911 at all.

I drove this...1999 Dodge Ram 1500 chip, exhaust, intake, TB, 35" tires, 6" lift. The run of the mill BIG truck so you could say I am going from one extreme to the other.

Cool. I was just putting mile 7,002 on it today. Love it. Gave a dodge fan a ride and he was really happy. Hope to see you at the National Rally in Vegas in a couple months.

Will be selling our '99 Passat V6 when our MINI gets off the boat next month. I can't wait, since it's been in for service 3 times already this year (last one required a tow!) It KNOWS it's being replaced.

2001 Jeep GC. What a sled that was. Only thing worse is that was my second one. I finally learned my lesson. I used to tow stuff is my excuse.

2005 350Z, I miss the exhaust note... The clutch was always funky and hard to smoothly launch from a standstill...

I traded in a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with the crew cab. Great truck, but it had 160k miles on it and the price of gas played a factor. The truck ran great and probably would have run for another 200k miles but I wanted something more economical and fun to drive. I have not regretted my decision at all. I love me some MINI

Not sure if I've posted to this thread before or not...(I really AM going senile...)

As for personal ownership (not a mom & dad's veh), I've had a burgundy '89 Nissan King Cab 4x4 (with manual locking hubs!) that some hillbilly jacked up and made into a kind of high-rise baja truck. I had the big brush grill on the front, big baja lights on the roll bar, and about an 18" lift, with running bars...most of which rusted like CRAZY. It certainly didn't LOOK like a girl's truck, but then again, that's kind of what I was going for. I ended up selling it to a grandfather in Dayton, OH.

I sold it for my black w/ gold decals '97 Nissan King Cab and the 30" racing rims. It was the manager's daily driver/demo model. I was actually supposed to be helping dad pick out a truck (he's colorblind and mom was afraid he'd get a nasty-colored thing not realizing the color.) I saw my "future" black truck in the parking lot and had to have it! I loved that truck. Until it started having some serious problems a few short years later - water splashing down in the passenger side when I made left turns? That, and the freakin' tonneau cover tension bar snapped while driving on the highway...I looked like Batman flying down the road! SO i traded it in while in NC for my next truck....

I got a white & silver 2001 F-150 Supercrew 4x4. I thought I would be moving to CO, and so thought this would be a good purchase. Yeah...I ended up moving to Germany for almost five years, and had to leave the poor thing up on jacks in storage! That's when I started my love affair w/ the MINI -- got an '04 MCS and then an identical '07 MCS.

Anyway, I still own my Supercrew. It's still a great truck, it's paid off and only has 42k miles on it!! I don't drive it much, except when I need a big hauler/towing, so the poor thing sits parked behind the MINI in front of the house. But we've tried to make it feel better with a few non-MINI-ish magnetic motoring badges.

Before my 03 MCS, I had an 01 VW GTI. Before my just purchased 08 MCS, I had an 07 VW GTI (I still cannot believe I was stupid enough to trade my 03 MCS for another GTI)...

From this point on, for the rest of my life... just Mini Cooper S's

it's not just a MINI, it's a driving EXPERIENCE!!

Last ride was an '05 Mazda3...nice little car, good pickup and crisp handling, but it just never lit me up. Before that, an '02 Jetta, loaded...I really enjoyed that car. (Comfortable, but the handling and all wash kinda too cushy.) Also had a '98 Integra (borrrrring) a '93 Honda del Sol (got it right when they first came out; overpriced piece of crappola) a '96 Grand Am (what was I thinking?? I kept it for 2 years until I looked around and noticed everyone else driving one was a redneck.) Have also owned various Hondas, a Subaru Brat ('79...got it when I lived at Tahoe in the early 80's. Say what you will about it, I had a blast in that car and it kicked butt in the snow!) and before that we're really talking about ancient history...I got my drivers license at the Department of Covered Wagons...
Anyhoo, I am deeply in love with my chili red Lola. My boyfriend doesn't quite understand and thinks I'm nuts. (BUT, I haven't let him drive her YET...)
