change of heart?

so my MCS finally arrived and is at my dealer.
they keep pushing back the date for pick-up because of the
installation of the jcw parts i wanted installed as well as the
white sport stripes. (i have the BRG cooper). at first i was really
annoyed because i was looking forward to driving her finally
this weekend. now they say it wont be ready till next wknd.
but now, i think this may be for a reason. i have been recently
flirting with the idea to do away with the stripes alltogether and
go for a cleaner look. i originally wanted them because not too
many people have them. but at the same time, i can see myself
getting tired of them in the future.
anybody with the sport stripes have any opinions and maybe even
pictures? or even if you don't have sport stripes, im open for suggestions.

thanks!

Skip the stock stripes! Go for aftermarket stripes .... like viper stripes. I have the stock stripes and will soon be removing them to install something else which is more unique.

Sure, skip them if they aren't on the car yet (which they may already be?). Either way you can't go wrong by much. You can always remove them at some point and/or get others at some point...it's a fairly flexible situation w/ stripes. I've always gone sans stripes as I vastly prefer that look.

Well, CONGRATS on the BRG portion, anyway! I went with stock stripes, and I still love them - I'm on my 2nd identical MCS (both BRG w/ white stock stripes). I added the boot stripes myself - although it's OBVIOUS I'm an amateur! If you forget the stock stripes from the dealer, you can always get magnetic stripes instead - that way you can change out the look until you figure out exactly which you want.

And although I like my white w/black pin trim stripes, there are a few BRGs on NAM here with silver or grey stripes that really look great too. Good luck!

If you're looking for a custom 'different' look, a dealer option is not where you should be looking.
